Most likely he has rickets, for the confirmation of which we will need to get an xray done of the wrist and his knees to see for the status of his metaphsyis. Take him for early morning walks alongwith you and allow him to remain in the sunshine for about an hour. Feed him lots of milk and kindly consult an orthopedician to get prescription for the calcium and vit. D supplements. Teh deformity looks unsightly but it goes away entirely as his stores of vit. D and calcium will get replenished. Hope this helpps.

Follow the foods regularly. Black grapes 100gm/day. Musturd oil 2 teaspoons/day. Whey protein food supplements regularly. Aswagandha, spirulina capsules twice a day. Soya beans and sprouts nuts & cereals regularly. If you are not recovered within 3 weeks, take the acupuncture treatment or privately.

It's due to nutritional deficiencies and overweight. Control your with exercise and dieting and take calcium, vitamin d and vitamin e supplements. Take plenty of vitamin b12 for nerves.

1. Start with Physiotherapy treatment. 2. Learn spinal exercises. 3. Don't sit on floor. 4. Don't lift heavy things. 5. Apply volini cream before sleeping. 6. Use lumber spine belt. 7. Take calcium, vitamin D 3 and Methylcobalmine supplement for one month minimum.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Dear , there is no known treatment for muscular dystrophy. Please don' t be fooled by quacks claiming to give you complete cure. Excessive exercising will worsen this condition. Light physiotherapy helps to maintain limb mobility. Your orthopedic doctor can prescribe you some supporting braces depending on the severity of your condition.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. If there is pain in whole upper limb with any other associated symptoms like numbness, paresthesias etc, then there can be a possible impingement of a nerve. You are advised to start with gentle anti inflammatory medications, physical therapy, if radiating pain is severe, then medications for neuropathic pain etc can be started and normally your symptoms should settle in next 5-7 days, if they do not subside, then a detailed neurological examination and appropriate investigations need to be done. With thyroid disorder there is associated muscle weakness. There is nothing to get worried about. Its important to maintain hydration, good posture and keep exercising. If the pain is too severe meet a physiotherapist so that they can do ultrasound massage or interferntial therapy and relax it.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.
