You may have thyroid issues or vitamin deficiency or uric acid. Get a check up done. Also, if you have gained weight, then it can cause knee pain. If the knees are swollen and feel heavy, if there is a sound when you sit or get up and doing that is painful, stair climbing is difficult, then it might be the beginning of knee arthritis or other knee joint problem, also resulting in muscle weakness around the knee. So get a orthopedic consultation and a physiotherapy consultation personally.

Yes olive oil is a better option. But olive oil is beneficial only if we used it without coocking. Because at high temperature olive oil loses its goodnes properties. So you can apply it on fried food.

At your age we would'nt expect anything to do with your heart,unless and until proved otherwise.It is better to go for basic Health check, iam sure they are all normal.There is no dout too much of indulgence in any good or bad is not good enough to maintain the normal health.After having said, reduce to the minimum,go for walk regularly and excercise.& yoga. You must spend for a hour on all those activities,don'tt say no time,Iam sure every thing sould be allright.

Hello, Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Following Simple Healthy Heart Ways can help you keep heart disease at bay:

1. Drink at least 8-12 glasses of water a day, depending on your body weight.
2. Get your fill of essential fatty acids - raw nuts and/or seeds are a good source of Omega-3 and Omega-6. These are essential because humans can’t manufacture them within the body.
3. Eat high-quality proteins. Seafood, eggs, beans, chicken, mutton etc are excellent sources. Vegetarians can and obtain Proteins from grains, sprouted grains, raw nuts and raw seeds esp. soya.

High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. GARLIC,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . Cap. Ecosprin gold-20 at night daily.

हार्ट अटैक से कैसे बचे?
यदि हम कोलेस्ट्रॉल का स्तर 130 मिलिग्राम/डीएल से कम और ट्रायग्लिसराइड्स का स्तर 100 मिलिग्राम/डीएल से नीचे बनाए रखते हैं तो हार्ट अटैक की आशंका नहीं रहती।
क्या करना चाहिए जब दिल संबंधी रोग का पता हार्ट अटैक के बाद चले?

दिल संबंधी रोग मेे सूखे मेवे खाने चाहिए?
सूखे मेवे जैसे बादाम, अखरोट, काजू और पिस्ता में 50 फीसदी से अधिक तेल होता है। नारियल और मूंगफली में 40% से अधिक तेल या ट्रायग्लिसराइड होता है। कई दिल संबंधी रोग विशेषज्ञ मरीजों को गलत सलाह देते हैं कि इनमें वसा नहीं होती है। कुछ इन्हें खाने की अनुमति यह कहकर देते हैं कि यह शरीर में बुरे कोलेस्ट्रॉल का स्तर बढ़ाते हैं या इनमें ओमेगा-3 ऑयल होता है लेकिन वे यह नहीं बताते कि सूखे मेवों में 40-64 फीसदी तक ट्रायग्लिसराइड भी होता है जिससे रक्त में इस तत्व का स्तर बढ़ जाता है। इसलिए दिल के रोगियों के लिए सभी सूखे मेवे प्रतिबंधित हैं। किशमिश, मुनक्का, खजूर और खुमानी में लगभग तेल की मात्रा शून्य होती है। दिल संबंधी रोगी इनका प्रयोग कर सकते हैं बशर्ते उन्हें डायबिटीज न हो।

My fathers echo report says his heart function is 30-35%. So doctor suggested to do Angiography but he is not physically fit for angio till heart pumping will be normal 55-60%. Is there chances of blockages in angio report?

Just becoz ef is low is not an indication for angioplasty. If there is no chest pain and no rwma on echo and ecg is normal then angio is not needed.

What are the causes of high blood pressure? And what are the effects of it in our body?
Dear lybrate-user, high blood pressure is many times a symptom of underlying disease. You can visualize heart as a pump which is pumping blood (viscous liquid) across the body. It supplies the brain where it pumps against gravity. Similarly it also receives the blood from the legs which is again against gravity. In this closed circulation the blood vessels allow the gases like oxygen and carbondioxide and some liquid to pass through the membrane along with nutrients and waste products to and from various tissues. Blood pressure increases 1. The heart has to pump with higher intensity due to a blockage which restricts the blood supply to a critical organ including the brain and heart. 2. Blood vessels become narrow due to constriction or fat and calcified plaques deposited. 3. Certain hormones (chemicals) secreted by the kidneys and other organs cause the blood vessels to contract. 4. Stress which releases enzymes that increase blood pressure. 5. Electrolytes like sodium levels increase the osmotic pressure thereby increasing the volume of blood and thus blood pressure. It is mainly due to an underline endocrine disease. Considering these five points we need to investigate understand and try to address the cause by symptomatically managing the blood pressure. High blood pressure has multiple effects on to the body especially on small blood vessels which can burst (bleed) in brain, eyes and other organs. It also increases the risk of pushing a clot into the brain as well as damaging the blood vessel itself. The cholesterol and other lipids which circulate in the blood get pushed towards the walls of the vessel due to high blood pressure thereby increasing the risk of atherosclerosis. In short high blood pressure is a serious entity needs to be addressed objectively.

Few tips on diet say no to maida items like toast, khaari ,naan ,white bread. Can drink tea but without sugar say no to Buffalo milk and can drink cows milk can eat brown bread can eat sprout's can eat green vegetables, can eat chappati ,bajra ka rotla can eat one katori of rice twice a day with dal to avoid farsan food items can eat fruits say no to coconut water.

Ghee is a an absolute No for cholesterol deranged patients. Take a detailed diet consult for a healthy heart diet and exercise daily, begin gradually and increase to 45 mins daily. Quit drinking and smoking.

Regular visit to cardiologist as asked by them. Morning walk of 4 km in 40 min daily. Avoid non veg, alcohol, tobacco. Lot of leafy vegetables, fruits. Meditation taught by BRAHMAKUMARIS CENTER, which can be found online.
