Sir, you can continue Ayurveda. U can take medications for pain relief, either Ayurvedic or Allopathic or Homeopathic, according to your choice, but only after consulting the doctor and getting prescription. Still, I'll suggest avoid medicines unless you have excruciating, intolerable pain. Go for physiotherapy. It'll give you results, may be slowly but surely. And without medication. Also Physiotherapy uses Therapeutic Yoga, which are exercises similar to Yoga asanas, but designed to suit individual patient needs, and that's better for you than regular Yoga coz you should only do those exercises which will benefit you.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Lower back pain may not be linked to the heart problems. You can get x ray ls spine (ap & lateral - flexion & extension) and send it across to me. Also can you tell me if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications he generally takes and what has been his treatment history till now for existing problem. Please also get esr, crp and serum vitamin d and b12 levels done from a good lab and send reports across to me. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

You need to lose around 11 kg. Instead of running/ jogging start regular brisk walking/ yoga/ free hand exercises for 40 minutes. Sudden running/ jogging with high weight can damage the soft tissues in your legs causing pain. Drink 3 litres water daily. Avoid junk/ fried/ processed/ packaged/ canned foods/ sweets/ chocolates/ ice creams/ cold drink/ alcohol. Eat small amounts of food every 3 hours instead of few large meals. Have plenty of whole fruits & vegetables in your diet. Prefer steamed foods.

I'm suffering from pain in my back when im Sitting any where. Please tell me why its happen.

I'm suffering from pain in my back when im Sitting any where. Please tell me why its happen.
The reason you are unable to sit for anywhere is due to the fact that along with back pain few people suffer from a condition called Coccydynia. The lower end of the vertebral column is inflamed and that bone is called coccyx bone and the condition is called Coccydynia. The conservative management would be to keep ice in that inflamed area during one time in a day and also to sit in a hot water bowl where the penetration of the heat would help to reduce the inflammation. And to reduce the weight falling on the inflammed surface we suggest patients to use air cushion pillow (also called as doughnut pillow) where in the buttock's weight will not fall exactly on the painful tail bone and that would automatically reduce the pain.

I am having serious neck and back pain. I guess its spondylitis. How to cure it? or the remedies to clear it.

pain is complex phenomenon, so there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. Apart from pain killers, there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

Numbness & /or pain in leg is due to pressure on the nerve. This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
