He is a cancer patient (onco) n has been operated over the mouth five times since 2011 n currently he is under treatment by chemotherapy n radiation. Any effective medication in ayurveda or homeopath?

BHMS
Homeopath,
Homeopathic remedies work on following basis 1. Type of cells causing cancer 2. The common presenting discomfort unique or associated with your disease state. 3. The advancement of disease leading to what kind of effects on your body. 4. What is the state of vitality of your body 5. The pace of disease. Homeopathic cancer remedies are effective in reducing the pace of disease. Followed by more vitality and very less discomforts along. Once we reach this state, we start rigorous treatment which help cure the cancer. The cancerous tissue gets encapsulated as calcified lesion. If it is creating pressure effects on surrounding tissues, surgery is sought for it.

Dear, radiation hair loss on the site of radiation is an outcome of radiation but the advantage you derived from the radiation over-weighs the disadvantage of hair loss. There might be other avoidable side effects of which I will not make you conscious. If at any time you are advised adjuvant chemotherapy that may cause more hair loss from the body but that loss will be temporary, radiation induced hair loss may be long lasting

My father is suffering with neck cancer, he has gone through radiation 7 chemo last year, but 3 months after completing the radiation he had breathing problem and thus has gone through trachestomy, but since trachestomy has been done he is suffering with lots of pain in the neck and we also have to do suction every hour or so, can you advise some medicines or device which can reduce his pain & problems.

DNB, MBBS
Oncologist, Faridabad
What is the status of disease post chemo-radiation, have you got a direct laryngoscopy done to know the cause of breathing difficulty and what is thestatus of lungs. If both are disease free then tracheostomy can be closed once radiation edema settles down with steroids, nebulization and steam inhalation. If residual disease then he would require further treatment. Pain should be managed with good analgesics.

I am 59. Taking 750ml lukewarm water along with lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey early in the morning regularly. Is it alright at this age even in summer days? Furthermore, I have long been suffering from prostatic for last about 4-5 years. For the last one month, according to the advice of a good Doctor of Ayurveda, I have been taking (1) Himplasia-2tabs-twice daily, (2) Kachnar guggulu-3tabs-twice daily and (3) Guksharadi guggulu-3tabs-twice daily and feeling unique benefits so far. Are these Ayurvedic medicines dependable to be totally cured of the prostatic? How long am I to continue with these medicines. Please suggest.

Respected lybrate-user hi definately you can take the mixture you told without hesitation. So far as prostate cure is concerned any allopathic or ayurvedic agents are going to control symptoms of prostate & delay with slight decrease in growth rate of prostate. Nothing is going to absolutely cure you for rest of your life at all. So you have to continue medicines you can't stop & if you stop all previous symptoms will come back again. Thanks regards welcome anytime for any queries dear.

Hello doctor I have some painful lumps in breasts and in left armpit as well. What should I do?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Lumps in the breasts can be of different types. Usually ones which are painful are non-cancerous. However, if there are larger ones it is better to get those properly examined by a surgeon and also get investigated. Usuall investigations are Ultra sonography and mammogram. Plus if need be then FNAC (Fine needle aspiration cytology). So my suggestion is please consult a good surgeon and then follow his advice. Online it is difficult to give any conclusive opinion. Thanks.
