Gargling with warm salt water is an effective way to treat a sore throat. Salt can even help kill the bacteria or virus causing pharyngitis. Mix three teaspoons of salt (preferably sea salt) in two cups of warm water. Gargle with this solution. Do not swallow it. Spit the water out after gargling. Do this several times daily for one to two days. For further queries get back to me.

How to control and loose weight I want to ask that my age is 18 years and my weight is increasing what to do.
Hye, thanks for the query. Your weight is a balance of calories. Fad diets may promise you that counting carbs or eating a mountain of fruits will make the fats drop. But when it comes to weight loss, it's sensible eating that counts. Weight loss comes down to burning more calories than you take in. You can do that by reducing extra calories from food and beverages, and increasing calories burned through physical activity. Understand that weight /fat loss involves sensible eating. Your nutrient needs are high because growth is still taking place. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals. Take smaller main meals. It's important not to take only two heavy meals a day, but smaller more frequent meals to ensure good metabolism. Take a glass of lime water 10minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed.                        Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing.     All the so called fad, crash, restricted diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, don't forget the bottom line: The key to successful weight loss is a commitment to making indefinite changes in your diet and exercise habits.

Multivitamin will help you fulfill your daily requirement of nutrients. Since exercises increases your nutrition intake, sometimes food does not provide the whole nutrients.

First don't take stress. Think positive. Don't try to make yourself responsible for anything wrong. Be calm. Concentrate on reduction of weight which will boost up your confidence. For weight reduction you can try some medicines. Aerobic exercise and diet regulation you will definitely be all right.

Hi Doctors! I have lost few kilos by cutting down on calories intake and doing exercises. But even now I see myself, I don't think my belly fat got reduce and I read on internet that getting rid of the belly fat is hard one. Dear lybrate user, you need to take homoeopathic carbo veg 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach. You can also try homoeopathic liver tonic liv-t (sbl company). Take 20 ml of the aforesaid liver tonic, thrice daily, after meals. Try to drink as much water as you can drink daily. Try to get an uninterrupted sleep of minimum 8 hours.

To gain weight you need to take healthy carbs like brown/unpolished rice, oats, bananas (3-4 daily), potatoes, fresh milk and home made milk products like curd, butter, paneer, ghee etc. Do 30 mins of strength exercises daily.
