Hello lybrate-user you seem to be having a naturally oily scalp which is causing you trouble. Please wash your hair every alternate day with a mild shampoo to wash off the oil otherwise it will lead to infection and thus hairfall. Keep your comb separate do not oil your scalp eat lots of fruits and drink at least 2 litres of water daily. If this does not help please consult for treatment.

Dear lybrate user with the limited information provided it appears that you are suffering form indigestion issues. This is a common entity when we consume a high carbohydrate load and our intestines are not able to cater all of it, which is then converted to free compounds which later presents as flatulence and uneasiness. It is advisable if you can start exercising regularly along with intake of high fibre diet and liberal fluid intake. Some blood test can also be done if your problem persist. Hi. Don't worry! Let me tell you about hairfall. Up to 100 hair strands per day is supposed to be normal for any person. And in layman's language, hairfall can be divided into 2 types - temporary hairfall and permanent (which is called as 'Hairloss' rather). In temporary hairfall, hair grows back again from the same hair root, but in case of permanent hairloss, may be because of formation of DHT (Di- Hydro -Testosterone) around hair root it gets choked up, subsequently affects the blood supply to the hair and thus hair root is lost forever. (There are different pattern and types of hairloss, because of different reasons like Alopecia Areata, Telogen Effluvium, Scarring Alopecia, Traction Alopecia, etc.) Causes of hairloss: Many factors are responsible formation of this DHT or male/ female pattern baldness - hereditary, post-illness/ ailment, post-delivery, post- chemotherapy, nutritional deficiencies, hormaonal imbalance, insufficient sleep, sudden loss of weight, stress/ tensions/ excessive anger, use of bore water, any other underlying diseases, etc. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs, pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnut and almonds), iron-rich food like green vegetables, also take flaxseeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. (N.B.: With the help of homoeopathic medicines, we can only prevent further progress of the hairloss, means it will get arrests in the present condition in case of progressive baldness. But, in case there are areas of baldness which has gone smooth and shiny, you will have to choose an option of Hair Transplant along with theses medications!).

Dark circles are mostly due to habits. Avoid rubbing eyes. Get allergies tested. If you have refractive errors, get it checked and corrected. Avoid eye cosmetics and chemicals. Shampoos that seep down to eyeswhile bathing can contribute to this, so don't let it accumulate. Food should b supplemented with iron capsules. Have green leafy vegetables and jaggery in plenty. Overtime with computers, laptops, television, can increase the chances of darkness around eyes. Get your hb checked. Catch a good six hour sleep everyday. Relax and destress with yoga, meditation, prayer. Dark circles don't have a one-stop solution or home remedy. Sunken eyes won't respond to creams or medicines. U vil need a course of antiinflammatories,if infective,antibiotics too.

Hello, the smell is due to old dead endometrial tissue and this can be prevented by keeping teh vagina clean with vaginal washes.

I am 50 year old lady. I feel pain in both my knees while sitting (mainly in sqautted position) and while standing up from seated position. Actually I have consulted doctor earlier when I was in severe pain, he told that it is curable only by exercise. He told that their is water in your knees and taking out water from injection is temporary solution. Please suggest me what to do and any cure.

weight reduction and activity modification (avoid sitting on the floor and using Indian closet) and quadriceps strengthening exercises will help. did you consult an ortho surgeon and did you have any xray of the knee?

Hi lybrate-user WEIGHT GAIN It is not a good idea to eat mega-meals at fast food joints or high- in- fat foods to gain weight. An effort like this will increase your body fat, putting you at risk for health problems. Rather work on improving the quality of your diet. Focus on eating healthy, growing strong and staying fit. Try eating six small healthy meals per day. Include 2 to 3 servings of fruits and vegetables in the day. Drink juice and smoothies made with milk and fresh fruit. Snack on dried fruit and nuts and high-fiber savories. If you are an exerciser, eat before and after workouts, and keep yourself hydrated. Here are some ideas: •Use whole fat dairy products such as whole milk, regular cheese and yogurt, cottage cheese. •Modify Cooking: Experiment by adding almonds to salads, cashews to a trail mix, or granola to yogurt. •Use "Extras" Try mixing in Ovaltine or almonds with a glass of milk. Add dried fruit or granola to yogurt. Mix in nuts, such as cashews or almonds to salads, trail mixes or cottage cheese. •Increase portion size gradually: Slowly try to increase the overall volume of the food at each meal, starting with one meal. For example, try adding one food item to a typical breakfast such as - add some fruit to cereal and milk. Then try increasing the amount of cereal. Use Tea Tree face wash and Toner twice daily. Use AHA glow face wash daily Use Sunscreen with spf 30 daily. Use natural face pack of Multani Mitti and lemon 2 times a week. You can also use apple cider vinegar with Mother for 5 mins after washing your face and splash it clean with water. Most important is diet- Do not eat Junk, Eat more Vegetables and fruits especially with Vitamin C.

Hi, if you want your ears, dont listen to loud music and that too from your headphones. Using headphones, is bad in itself and to worsen it, you were listening to loud music. This can lead to something as bad as rupture of your ear drums leading to permanent deafness. As for your current pain, you can take paracetamol tablet to subside the pain.

Hello lybrate-user, its common and normal to have ulcer on lips, specially upper lip following the ortho treatment, you must have been prescribed some ointments by your doctor, you need to apply them. If the problem still persists, you can use carding wax on the brackets (hooks in which wire is lodged). I can not prescribe you without looking at swelling and inflammation, for that pls consult in pvt with photographs.

You can exercise for healthier gums as well. Gently bite down so as to make sure that your teeth make a clinking sound when they meet. Repeat this 30 to 40 times continously. This exercise will stimulate the flow of blood and will keep your gums healthy.

Hi, not to worry if you do not have pain / your activities are unhampered. Physiotherapy may help to regain your movement. If you have >100-110 degrees, functionally you can do most of the activities. But if it is associated with pain then you need to get back to the surgeon and get advice.
