Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day. Avoid junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Tea. Alcohol. Avoid alcohol consumption. Do pranayama early morning.

Hi, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc and with no other associated constitutional symptoms like evening rise in temperature, loss of weight, excessive sweating at night etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. If it is the pain condition due to accident then it could be soft tissue inflammation and it is the question of healing which takes bit more time although depends upon the will power of patient and pain bearing capacity, better to get done the imaging study if not done yet.

I had an ankle ligament sprain or injury on 31.12. 2015 and got plastered for 1month. Now its removed and my doctor directed to walk. Now 40 days over. Still I can't walk properly because a small pain still existing when applying force. Slight swelling also there. I'm taking medicines tendon and Indomethacin Tab's. When will I can walk properly, go upstairs and run? What should I do next? Any more treatment is required? At what stage the surgical treatment is considered?

What the doc has done is correct. Swelling is expected and will subside. You need to differentiate between the pain which was initially present usually on the sides of ankle at the time of injury and pain due to stiffness because your ankle was immobilized for 1 month. Well I would suggest you to wear an anklet when you r walking standing or working, remove while resting. Keep your foot elevated over pillows when you r resting. Surgery I don't think is required but if pain persists for more than 3months and is unbearable then it might be looked into after getting mri scan.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

I am a 42 year old and having problem of backache from last 15 days. Please advise medicine & therapy.

Hi initially take following precautions 1) stop normal physical activity for couple of days. 2) apply hot fermentation 3) do not do activities that involves heavy lifting or twisting of your back for few days 4) after 2 to 3 weeks, slowly begin to exercise 5) avoid wearing high heals and lifting heavy bags. Hello, we have to rule out this type of pain by investigation (x-ray or mri) of elbow joint. *initially you have to take rest as much as you can. *take calcium rich diet and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. *avoid heavy lifting. *perform some gentle exercises and stretching of all joints eg. Shoulder, wrist and fingers. *walk straight with shoulder protracted. I will explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques in the next session. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

For a healthy lifestyle Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong, chana,Dal, rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit.

Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Check her blood glucose first. Sure may be a raise. This is one of the reasons for stiff shoulder. Then consult any physiotherapist near you for further follow up.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumbar support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. You may be suffering from fracture spine. Kindly get x rays of your spine take bed rest. Fortunately, it appears that you have no neurological deficit. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5daysshow me x rays of your back & knee you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.
