for arthritis you can go for this home remedy 1. Take 1 cup mustard oil 2. Add 10 g camphor 3. Heat the oil till the camphor dissolves completely 4. Hi if you have to sit for long time or travel in bike for long time in your job please follow proper positioning of your body during work or travel. Choose proper chair/table/seat height and alignment. Follow simple free exercise everyday that you might have done in school days during sports day like lifting arms, legs, twisting body segments before work. Walking will mobilise all your joints- a better way to exercise your joints or swimming is a best exercise.

Hi Thanks for your query. I am Dr Akshay from Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. Ankylosing Spondylitis is a inherited disorder with HLA B 27 positivity in majority. There is no permanent medical cure for this and you need intensive physical therapy almost on a daily basis to keep progression under check. Hi it can be overuse injury, tennis elbow or golfer's elbow. Apply cold pack for 20 min. Thrice a day for 5 days. You can start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain and inflammation and exercise will strengthen elbow and wrist joint. Wishing you a good health.

Hi. Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? any underlying medical condition? the pain in legs can be because of - muscle cramps (due to tiredness or dehydration), shin splints (doing activity over and over on hard surfaces can bring this on. You may also be more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward. Rest your legs to feel better. Ice helps), tendinitis (you can get it from overworking the calf muscle or climbing the stairs, apply ice to get some relief), sprains (do rest, ice, compression & elevation). Other causes are varicose veins, arterial disease, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy. Medication: meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - arnica 200 and rhus tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply schwabe's topi-arnica and topi mp gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter. For dry foot skin: apply schwabe's aloe vera cream immediately after bathing, use schwabe's skin care soap.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. 1.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a)Take X ray cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b)Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest, use soft pillow while sleeping c) Do physio therapy and neck exercise d)Consult me for further advice

It must be scoliosis. If you don't have neurological problems, then usually no treatment is required.

I have been getting intensive pain at my right femur bone post surgery. Surgery happened 4 months bck. I got one MRI done after talking to one of the doctor. Attached MRI with this. I have been asked to take rosiflex intake for 2 months Daily and a tablet Naprosyn. Need to know the exact reason for the pain Also the entire leg pains sometimes. Please help.

Dear Vigneshwaram, generally software professionals suffer from neck pain due to spending their day in the same posture for prolong period of time. You can take hot water fomentation on the cervical/ neck area. In the office hours dont spend your day in the same position at a stretch for more that 1-2 hours instead get up from your place do some stretching exercises of the neck and then go back to your seat. You can also go for neck muscles strenghtening exercises. Do write to me if needed any further help.

4 Common Causes of Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common medical condition, which can be easily treated if proper care and medications are taken. It usually occurs due to strained neck muscles, often caused bad posture, though there might be other causes as well. Rarely, neck pain can be a symptom of a more serious problem as the condition is relatively mild in nature. The symptoms of a neck pain are very obvious which refers to any kind of discomfort in moving your neck on a daily basis. Along with this you might also have headache, stiffness of the head and muscle tightness.

Some of the most common causative factors of neck pain are listed below:

  1. Muscle strains: A muscle strain generally happens when you exert too much pressure on your neck continuously for long periods. It also happens when you have your neck fixed in the same position for long hours of the day. Muscle strains in the neck may occur when you keep your neck bent in the wrong way while doing activities like reading a book, looking at your mobile phone or working over your laptop for extended hours.
  2. Worn joints: Just like all the other bodily joints, the neck joint also tends to wither and degrade with age. This phenomena is known as the wear and tear of the joints. The bones of the neck joint tend to wither with time, thereby making your joint frail and exposing it to various pains and medical conditions.
  3. Nerve compression: Nerve compression is a medical symptom whereby, there is excessive pressure put on one particular nerve in the body. Herniated discs or bone spurs in the vertebrae of your neck can press on the nerves branching out from the spinal cord, hence causing a long lasting neck pain. Damage caused from a nerve compression may be minor or severe depending on the pressure applied. It may cause temporary or long lasting problems depending on the degree of damage caused. The earlier you get a diagnosis and treatment for nerve compression, more quickly you will find relief.
  4. Whiplash: Neck related injuries are common phases of pain and discomfort caused due to an external damage to the neck as a result of a tragic sports related or vehicular accident. A neck injury is also known as a whiplash and it refers to an injury due to forceful, rapid back-and-forth movement of the neck, like the cracking of a whip. Whiplash mostly occurs during accidents, physical abuse or other trauma.

Hello, Kindly follow advises given below 1.Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered Trainer) 3. you can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4.Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying Kindly go for cervical X ray AP and lateral and review with reports Consult Physician for Further Management

Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.
