I have a bit if pain just below where the ribs end. I got ultrasound of liver resulting fatty liver. The doctor said pain is because if fatty liver. This pain normally gets aroused in the evening when I sit for long. When I lay down or stand it gets away. What should I do.

Kindly take proper ayurveda treatment for fatty liver. Also adopt a healthy lifestyle. Take a proper walk of at least half an hour. Take meals in time. Avoid oily starchy food. Take ample quantity of fruits and salad in your diet.

I am 23 and since a week. My right hand wrist pains. The areas affected are the wrist and the portion connecting my thumb to the wristHave been having this trouble since a week and it pains almost continuously. I use a laptop for almost 8-10 hours in a day. Maybe it could have happened because of that?

I am 59 years old I have got a severe pain in left shoulder due to long flight journey. please tell me what shall I apply on it?

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

I am 24 years old. I am working From past 2 and half years. Its a desk job due to which I sit on chair for almost 8 to 12 hrs in AC. I had a habit of sitting crossed leg since my height is short. When I used to get up for break sharp pain on right knee I used to feel for few minutes and then it used to get normal. My knee pain is still there. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

We are planning to buy a weight loss exercise machine for reducing the fat. Please help us to choose the right machine considering my mother (the knee pain patient). She is about 5 ft height and 97 kg weight. My choice is electronic treadmill. Will it be a right choice? Please share your suggestions.

To lose weight with osteoarthritic knee or injured knee is difficult and should be done keeping in mind that injuries to knee should not be aggravated by exercises. Treadmill, squats, jogging and running are high impact workouts on knee and should be avoided. Following exercises can be done with low impact on knees. 1. Swimming doesnt exert stress on knee joint and burns fat if done at a stretch for 20 mins. 2. Strength training in form of bench press, shoulder press and abdominal exercises, triceps and biceps exercises can be done. 3. Walking on soft ground or soil as in garden can be done. In fact warm up before exercises in such patients can be done by a gentle walk. Avoid treadmill walk. 4. For home exercise machines, you can consider options like rowing machines, stationary cycle, elliptical machines. When using a cycle do not use on steep slopes or modes. 5. Along with exercise also use dietary modification in form of low calorie, protein rich diet to lose weight.

I am 19y old. I am suffering from pain on backside of knee when sitting on toes or in crouching position. I have consult a orthopedic doctor, he examine me and tell there is a ligament crack in back side of knee and suggest tablets (etova-400ip. After using of tablets there is reduce in pain but some tenderness (vibration) in thigh. What would be the problem.

Hi as orthopaedician suggested you must b having tear of pisterior cruciate ligament. And the drug which he prescribed is an antiinflamatory drug usually used in arthritis pain. This wil surely help you. If you are gud with this drug its ok. Bt you can not take this drug for a long time. And if you are not wel with the drug you can undergo a surgery to repair your ligament by arthroscopy.
