Hello- here are some lesser-known tips for easing neck pain- 1. Stay hydrated the discs between the vertebrae in your spine require water to maintain disc height and spinal alignment and to take pressure off the spine. 2. Increase topical and oral magnesium intake 3. Avoid cradling the phone in your neck 4. Consider ayurveda medicines 5. Try remedial massage (mahanarayana taila, vishgarbha tail) 6. Enlist the help of a ayurveda therapist 7. Strategically place ice on certain areas of the body 8. Use a water pillow 9. Incorporate swimming into your exercise routine.

I am 40 years old women and I have rheumatoid arthritis, doctors told 70 % got damaged like and they gave tablets. Wat should I do for this rheumatoid arthritis? wat s the best solution for this. And wat tablet s best, wat type of food items I need to take and wat type of food items I need to avoid, and tell me some suitable exercise for rheumatoid arthritis also I need to know, whether v can able to cure this or not?

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics
Orthopedist, Delhi
Kindly show me x-rays of affected parts. Rheumatoid arthritis is a self limiting disease. Acute phase can be managed with medicines. Physiotherapy helps in preventing contractures & deformities. Keep your moral up! any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days you will need other supportive medicines also. Do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4-5 days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?

I am 25 years old I had back pain past 10 yrs When I was lifted some weight since that pain doctor said need surgery some doctor surgery will harmful like paralysis when I tested antigen ankylosing spondylitis positive kindly help me what I do.

MSc in Orhopedic Physiotherapy (UK), BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Bangalore
Aside from seeing your doctor regularly and following your prescribed treatment plan, staying active is probably the best thing you can do for ankylosing spondylitis. Regular exercise can help relieve pain, improve posture, and maintain flexibility. Before beginning an exercise program, speak with your doctor or physical therapist about designing a program that’s right for you. Another important thing you can do for yourself is to practice good posture. A good test for posture is to check yourself in a mirror. First, stand with a full-length mirror to your side and, if possible, turn your head to look at your profile. Next, imagine you have dropped a weighted string from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. Where does the string fall? If your posture is good, it should pass through your earlobe, the front of your shoulder, the center of your hip, behind your kneecap, and in front of your anklebone. If you are not standing that way already, practice holding your body that way in front of a mirror until you know well how it feels. Practicing good posture can help you avoid some of the complications that can occur with ankylosing spondylitis. Best wishes.
