Peptic ulcer indicates the growth of painful ulcers or sores in the lining of your stomach, digestive tract or small intestine. Ulcers, though curable, can result in serious health problems if are not treated at an early stage. Peptic ulcers occur as a result of the reaction of pepsin and stomach acid. There are many causes responsible for the growth of peptic ulcers; they are mentioned below:

  1. Smoking regularly
  2. Consuming Alcohol
  3. Taking medicines like aspirin, painkillers frequently
  4. Production of excess acid
  5. Radiation Therapy

The most common symptoms of peptic ulcer are as follows:

  2. Vomiting or nausea
  3. Pain in the abdomen region
  4. A burning sensation in your heart
  5. Loss of appetite and weight
  6. Passage of blood through stool

Homeopathy offers effective remedies for peptic ulcer. Some of them are mentioned below:

Usually I get heartburn in mid of chest then not able to have food. I have doubt about peptic ulcer.

MD - Homeopathy, BHMS
Homeopath, Vadodara
That can only be decided by endoscopy... it is a very simple procedure and needs only a few hours to complete it.. If you have just heartburn then it may not be ulcers... just reflux or hiatus hernia... Do these basic practices... Avoid Overeating Avoid sleeping or remaining idle after eating instead you should have a walk for 15 minutes.. Don't eat late nights Make sure that you have regular meals and don't stay fasting for long. Avoid eating highly spiced food... You can consult for the homeopathic treatment.

I m 25 years old my digestive system is very weak nd always feeling acidity in my stomach.
Acidity or gastritis in younger patients occur because of lifestyle problems, meal irregularities, choice of diet. You will first require weeks of antacid therapy after being seen by gasteroenterologist/ gastrointestinal surgeon. If symptoms persist or else you become dependent on antacid medications then you will require upper gi endoscopy. In very few cases hypergastritis is due to large hiatal hernia which is corrected with surgery.

Hello Find out the things that make the symptoms worse. Recognize stresses and strains in your life and develop a more relaxed lifestyle. Be less of a perfectionist in your approach to life. Avoid any foods that you can identify as causing the problem. A high fluid intake and a high-fibre diet may be the answer to your problem.

Sticky moist feeling in anus sometimes itching, burning after latrine. From 3-4 days. Chronic acidity and indigestion.

Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), MS - Urology, MBBS
Urologist, Ahmedabad
Dear , I think you have developed an anal fissure which is due to passage of hard faeces due to constipation or severe forceful diarrhoea. Fissure in itself increases constipation. Constipation is not a disease but lifestyle problem. Simply treat constipation by laxative, high fiber and high residue diet and apllication of zincal ointment in side anus especially before going toilet.

You can manage it with simple lifestyle changes :- - Skip the aerated drinks as well as the caffeine. Opt for herbal tea instead.  - Have a glass of lukewarm water everyday.  - Include banana, watermelon and cucumber in your daily diet. Watermelon juice is great for curing acidity.  - Nariyal paani is known to soothe the system if you suffer from acidity.  - Drink a glass of milk - everyday.  - Have your last meal at least two to three hours before you hit the sack.  - Keeping long intervals between meals is another cause for acidity. Have small but regular meals.  - Try to avoid pickles, spicy chutneys, vinegar, etc.  - Boil some mint leaves in water and have a glass of this after meals.
