Dark-colored colas You need water to live, but when you have kidney disease, you may not need as much. This is because damaged kidneys do not get rid of extra fluid as well as they should. Too much fluid in your body can be dangerous. It can cause high blood pressure, swelling and heart failure. Extra fluid can also build up around your lungs and make it hard to breathe. If you do need to limit fluids, measure your fluids and drink from small cups to help you keep track of how much you’ve had to drink. Limit sodium to help cut down on thirst. At times, you may still feel thirsty. To help quench your thirst, you might try to: 1. Chew gum 2. Rinse your mouth 3. Suck on a piece of ice, mints or hard candy (Remember to choose sugar-free candy if you have diabetes.)

How to prevent kidney stone and what to do if somebody suffering from this problem?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
How to prevent kidney stone and what to do if somebody suffering from this problem?
Hi, prevention of kidney stones may include a combination of lifestyle changes and medications. Lifestyle changes you may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you: drink water throughout the day. For people with a history of kidney stones, drink 12-14 glasses of water everyday. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. 1 eat fewer oxalate-rich foods. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, restrict foods rich in oxalates. These include rhubarb, beets, bhindi (okra), spinach, swiss chard, sweet potatoes, nuts, tea, chocolate and soy products. Choose a diet low in salt and animal protein. Reduce the amount of salt you eat and choose non animal protein sources, such as legumes. Consider using a salt substitute. Continue eating calcium-rich foods, but use caution with calcium supplements. Calcium in food doesn't have an effect on your risk of kidney stones. Continue eating calcium-rich foods unless your doctor advises otherwise. Ask your doctor before taking calcium supplements, as these have been linked to increased risk of kidney stones. You may reduce the risk by taking supplements with meals. Diets low in calcium can increase kidney stone formation in some people. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine - berberis vulgaris q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Revert me back.

There are three types of pkd.------------ 1. Autosomal dominant pkd (adpkd)-------------- 2. Autosomal recessive pkd (arpkd)----------- 3. Acquired cystic kidney disease (ackd)------------------ pkd is an inherited problem of kidneys and at your age there are more chances of developing adpkd as it accounts for about 90 percent of pkd cases. If one parent has the disorder, the chance of passing it down to their child is 50 percent. Adpkd is sometimes called adult pkd. Symptoms usually develop later in life, between the ages of 30 and 40. However, symptoms can start in childhood. ---------------so if you do not experience any symptoms other than kidney stones since childhood like---------------------- 1. Pain or tenderness in the abdomen--------------- 2. Blood in the urine---------- 3. Frequent urination----------- 4. Pain in the sides---------- 5. Urinary tract infection (uti)------------ other few symptoms include:-------- 6. Pain or heaviness in the back-------- 7. Skin that bruises easily-------- 8. Pale skin color--------- 9 fatigue------- 10. Joint pain---------- 11. Nail abnormalities------------ so Mr. Prakash, if you do not experience any of the above symptoms other than kidney stones, then your are not effected with pkd but you should go for abdomen ultrasound immediately as recurrence of kidney stone is high in your case-------------------

My brother is 55 yrs. What prophylactic measures he shud take to avoid prostate hyperplasia. Regards.
Proatatic hyperplasia is age related disease. As one cant stop whitening of hair as age grows, can't stop prostatic enlargement. Once it give rise to treatment, then only needed to consult a surgeon/ urosurgeon for conservative or operative management.
