To gain weight eat more food more frequently.Eat 5-6 times with extra.Take banana 3-4 pcs/day.Add ghee,cream,butter,cheese,jam,jelly with foods.Drink whole cream milk.Use weight gainer nutritional supplement.Take dense vegetables fruits.Take extra refined foods with unrefined foods.Eat extra protein in diet.Add more healthy oil cooking.Avoid smoking,alcohol.Drink lots of water but not just before or during meals.These basic things will help you.

Long standing cold may be due to allergy called Allergic Rhinitis. You may have to find the causative factor of allergy and avoid it if possible. A defect in nose like Deviated Nasal septum. Consult ENT Specialist for these complaints. For weakness etc. better see a consulting Physician as you may require a thorough clinical examination and wide variety of investigations which can throw more light on possible conditons.

I have right knee pain, xray shows arthritis. I have stopped walking on the treadmill to avoid impact on the knee. Please advise if I can continue cycling on a stationary bicvcyle, or should I stop exercising till the pain stops. I have started taking diothermy also.

Most probably you are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped center in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Banana helps in weight gain. Post workout take a banana shake with 2 bananas. Similarly in the evening, you can have banana again.

Hello lybrate-user protein rich food are chicken (25gms/100gms), egg whites (3.5 gms/ egg), fat less paneer, milk, fish, soyabean. A person needs to take 1gm/ kg body weight protein. I fallen from stairs and my knee was injured. Ligament was teared I still feel some pain.

Hello sir, Depend on severity of ligament tear pain is reduced. So need detail examination and history. Consult your physiotherapist. Apply ice fermentation every 2 hrs once. Complete rest. Knee brace with elevate leg. Avoid full weight bearing on injured leg. Avoid floor sitting.

Yes it helps. Along with that I suggest you to have 3 -4 spoons of honey after having breakfast, lunch and dinner. I also suggst you to have dryfruits like almonds, cashews. Please do not skip breakfast. Its must to have food at the right time. Wet dates. Whole milk avocado nuts boiled egg rice-which is rich in carbohydrates contains good amount of calories. By following above said diet. You can find considerable change in you weight.

Weight Gain Diet It is not a good idea of Increasing intake of junk foods and fatty foods to gain weight. You should be eating calorie dense yet nutritious food. Your calorie intake should come from foods that are healthy for you. The weight gaining diet should include high protein foods, high carbohydrate foods and healthy fats. Include these in your diet. Breakfast: Banana and milk or banana shake or smoothie, whole-grain toast, fruits, nuts. Eat more fruit and drink less juice. Do not take milk mixed with ghee . It is not healthy. Lunch: Roti or chapatti or wholegrain bread, rice, green vegetables, paneer, dal, chole recipe, black-eyed beans (lobia), rajma, whole wheat pudding (dalia), etc Dinner: Similar to lunch In-between meals:: fruit, sandwich, yogurt (curd), milk, cheese, salad Avoid deep fried snacks like samosa (samosa recipe), pakodas, bhujia etc. Avoid fast foods including donut.

Hi lybrate-user never take medicine to gain weight to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

I am ashok. 27 years old .regarding weight gain. My daily routine :I wake up at 8,9,10 am not specific .breakfast at 10 or 11 and 4 to5 pm food àt 11 pm dinner. No any bad habits.In food veg &non veg. Sleep problem. Worry,tension. Study Pressure. I go bed at 12or 1: 30.thank you.

I am working at night shift from 9-6 and I come home by 6: 30 nd then do my gym workout. Currently I am taking big mass gainer nd iso sensation proteinmass gainer before workout nd iso after workout. Dear lybrateuser, -Yes you can take proteins but do take them as per the instuctions given on label of the product do not exceed the limit as too much protein puts a load on the kidneys -have your protein supplement before & after your workout but with the normal meals consume foods rich in proteins as they are better absorbed & digested by the body -have milk & milk products like yogurt/curds, paneer(small katori full), cheese with breakfast, non-veg -fish, chicken, eggs 2-3 per day, soyabeans, tofu, soya products, include an item in each meal, also you can have protein containg snacks like yogurt, sprouts, chicken sandwich, nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pistachio, peanuts, all these will provide the extra proteins you need to bulk up -have 2-3 litres of water a day for good digestion.
