Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.

Do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch.

In this case only tikta ksheer basti can be tried. How much beneficial it will be can't be said. But if soe hope is there, it is this only along with oral asthi pachak medicines.

1. Start with Physiotherapy treatment for heel pain. 2.Wear sports shoes only 3. Use silicone pads in shoes. 4. Apply volini cream before sleeping 5. Do Hot fermentation. 6. Take calcium, vitamin D 3 and Omega 3 supplement for 2 month.

I am having chronic problem of pain and stiffness in neck, knee & lower back mainly rt side s.i joint area for last few years .my latest blood reports are all normal .my MRI of Whole spine shows moderate cervical spondylosis. Mild lumber & dorsal spondylosis with disc dessication at L5-S1 BILATERAL RADICULOPATHY AT L4-L5 & L5- S1. Focal edematous changes in L5 inferiorly? Inflammatory spondylosis. 2. My MRI of S.I joints shows CORTICAL Irregularity & Erosion in the right half of paradiscal region at L5-S1 level with adjacent marrow edema & mild fluid RIM/inflammation in the rt paravertebral region also involving the rt neural recess. Possibility includes early infective pathology with other differential of Acute Shcmorl" s node formation. What my reports says? My rheumatologist says mri reports are okay and written case of LBA prescribe me painkiller. But pain is still there after taking physiotherapy & medicines. Now what shd I do to get relief Pls advice?

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

I met with an accident 6 months ago in which I had severe knee injury. Doctors confirmed that there is no fracture or ligament tear, but they suspect a meniscus tear in the right knee. I have been going through medication including vitamin supplements like depura 60k, for the past six months. Is it safe and advisable to start doing exercises to strengthen my knee. Will this help to cure my knee? And by exercises I mean jogging, sit-ups, lunges etc. I would like to have some advice!

Definitely with strengthening static quadriceps exercises may improve knee joint stability along with this physiotherapy vacuum therapy for 12 days can be given do revert for further assistance best wishes.

I am 56 years old with average body structure. When I am sleeping. At mid night my right leg became automatically trembling and I wake up from sleep. I took tablet nexito (10 mg. But its continuing. Please help me out.

Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 valium 5 1tab at bed time.(stop nexito) do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi, Apply Rumalaya liniment and massage for 10 mins and give hot water fomentation. This can be done thrice daily. If the pain is severe, take tab. Yogaraja guggulu 1-1-1 with hot water after food. Use soft medium sized pillow while sleeping. Perform neck exercises for 10 mins in the morning and evening regularly.

There are so many reasons for pain in knee joint, after detailed history and examination conclusive diagnosis can be made. According to me you might be suffering from vitamin D deficiency or cartilage problem, get your blood tests done which include sugar, thyroid Vitamin D, vitamin B12, blood count and Rheumatoid factor.

Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated. Wish you speedy recovery.
