To make body strong, you need to eat a balanced and healthy diet. Intake of more protein rich foods helps in building stronger muscles. Have a medium carb and low-fat diet. Include 2 -3 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. We do not recommend any medicines. With an experience of 12 years and 35 clinics across India, you can consult us on a Lybrate private chat for a healthy diet chart.

Dear lybrateuser,
- It is advisable to get your daily protein requirement from natural foods as far as possible as they are easily absorbed by the body & cause no side effects in the long term
- protein rich foods such as eggs, non veg, milk & milk products, soya products, tofu, beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews, sesame, pumpkin seeds
- include a protein rich food in each of your meals & also have as a snack in between meals
- to know your exact calorie & protein requirement per day as per your degree of exercise, dietary habits & constitution consult a dietician on forum.

Dear lybrate-user, thats good you're concerned. I expect to see it more often. You can start by enrolling yourself at the gym, if youre already working out then great. Step 2, lift heavy and use performance enhancers like creatine monohydrate and cycle it with clean carbs. You will get a shredded look with proper guidance. I personally train with a lot of my clients here in chicago. They started off really thin but over a period of time they've gotten better and bigger. So good luck!

Healthy and homely food can also have a lot of calories. Also many a times people indulge in things like 'Digestive Biscuits' Rusks, sweets and many other things which add to the calories. Bottomline is that you got to properly measure the calories if you want to lose weight. As per your height and weight you need to be on a measured diet of 1000 calories per day. That way you can lose about 2 kgs in a month. For detailed consultation you can consult me privately.

For weight gain, you have to increase your daily food intake. Try to eat healthy foods after every 2-3 hours. Add one extra chapati and rice to your lunch and dinner. Add a sweet dish after meals. Include milkshakes, juices, dry fruits like kaju, kismis, badaam, cookies, fruits like banana, chickoo, muskmelon, grapes. Have foods like dhoklas, idlis, dosa, bhelpuri, aloo chaat, cheese or paneer sandwiches in evening snacks or in between main meals. For more details, consult us on a private Lybrate chat.

Soy is definitely one of the most controversial foods in the world.
Depending on who you ask, it is either a wonderful superfood or a hormone disrupting poison.
As with most things in nutrition, there are good arguments on both sides.
