Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. By taking Atorvastatin 2 tablets a day (20 mg per day), is unlikely to cause any such problem of increase in blood glucose. It is possible that you were earlier in a pre-diabetes state and that condition has now changed to overt diabetes. Please tell me the earlier Fasting, PP levels if you remember. In any case if present level is showing 300 mg, then it needs to be treated. So please check fasting, PP and HbA1c% and come back. Also inform details like your height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise. Also check the lipid profile. 300 mg (whether fasting or after food) is a very high glucose level, demanding urgent correction. Thanks.

Losing hair can have lot of reasons fro Gorman all imbalance, stress, tensions, protein deficiency to many others. Build a better breakfast, Aim to eat anywhere between 400 and 500 calories for your morning meal, and make sure you're including a source of lean protein plus filling fat (e.g. eggs, beans, unsweetened greek yogurt, nuts or nut butters) and fiber (veggies, fruit or 100% whole-grains). Prioritise real, whole foods, means filling up on fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, low-fat dairy and lean protein. Know your limits with salt Skip sugary beverages Ignore the gimmicks/weight loss hypes Eat your H2O Munch on mineral-rich foods Resist the urge to skip a meal Take a hike or a walk Go to bed/ no sleep deprivation Eat spicy foods seriously cayenne peppers/jalapeños Buy a set of 5-pound weights, strength training builds lean muscle tissue which burns more calories.

I am suffering from headache, pain in eyes, back pain and little fever for 4 days I avoid alopathic treatment so I did take just a paracetamol but feeling weakness and headache, back pain today I have tested my CBC and typhoid. You might be suffering from a Viral infection. Since platelet counts are in the lower side, you must start taking medications for viral fevers. Take plenty of fruits, fluids and rest. You may have to take Vit E and Vit C supplements along with these medications. Go and consult a doctor immediately for the complete recovery. If you don't have loose bowels, vomiting or rashes on your body no need to worry about.

If common lower back pain issues not reducing in its severity even after observing for a period, a thorough investigation should be made. You might have to consult a doctor who will examine you properly and suggest the kind of investigations only if needed. Eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, pastas and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts and seeds. Try smoothies and shakes. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes made with milk and fresh or frozen fruit, and sprinkle in some ground flaxseed. In some cases, a liquid meal replacement may be recommended. Watch when you drink. Some people find that drinking fluids before meals blunts their appetite. In that case, it may be better to sip higher calorie beverages along with a meal or snack. For others, drinking 30 minutes after a meal, not with it, may work. Make every bite count. Snack on nuts, peanut butter, cheese, dried fruits and avocados. Have a bedtime snack, such as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or a wrap sandwich with avocado, sliced vegetables, and lean meat or cheese. Top it off. Add extras to your dishes for more calories — such as cheese in casseroles and scrambled eggs, and fat-free dried milk in soups and stews. Have an occasional treat. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of pie with ice cream is OK. But most treats should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Bran muffins, yogurt and granola bars are good choices. Exercise. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

You can follow the following tips 1. Eat 2 fruits every day. Keep a fruit when travelling to satisfy those sugar cravings. 2. Add nuts to your diet like almonds, walnuts. They are a good sources of vitamins and minerals. 3. Increase your vegetable intake. Consume minimum 3 servings of seasonal vegetables. They are cheaper and more nutritious. 4. Eat small portions at regular intervals. It will keep hunger pangs at bay. 5. Eat whole grains such as brown rice, whole wheat bread, Oats and whole grain cereals. Avoid maida and other refined cereals. 6. Have two servings of low-fat dairy products every day: milk, curd, buttermilk 7. Use cold pressed vegetable oils like mustard oil, olive oil, sunflower oil. 8. Limit saturated fat. Read the labels. And remember that fatty meats or cheeses, butter, and whole milk products have large amounts of saturated fat. 9. Have protein rich foods like eggs, lean meat like chicken and fish ; soya, tofu and quinoa. These sources have high biological value protein. 10. Target 10-12 glasses of water everyday. The best way to judge the water intake is by the colour of the urine. The more yellow it is that means you are dehydrated. Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health. Be patient with your weight loss. Your efforts will give results. Seek the help of a professional trainer to guide you with your workouts.

Chemical peel is a means to remove dead skin, superfecial pigments etc from skin surface by means of controlled chemical damage. When it heals, there is improvement in texture, colour and quality. It is not permanent but long lasting.

Hi, the most common cause for bleeding from gums is, plaque & calculus deposit surrounding your teeth. This commonly happens when our oral hygiene maintenance is not adequate. Therefore a permanent solution to the problem cannot be obtained unless you undergo professional cleaning of teeth. However after this episode of "cleaning" you can prevent future interventions by practicing good oral hygiene maintenance protocol. All the best.

Am a 28 years male was having outside food too mch. Now past 1 to 2 week, my right side of tummy feels smooth stretched or swollen from within after passing stool in the morning. And also urge to pass stool sometimes after having lunch. I have gastric problems before but now no gastric but these problems. Eating a variety of flavors from food may help increase your appetite. Avoid eating bland foods; that can do little for increasing your appetite. Adding fresh or dried herbs to dishes can help enhance flavor and also add nutritional value to a meal. Try either cooking or ordering from a restaurant a different cuisine you are not used to. For example, try adding in Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern or other ethnic flavors into your meals. Trying new flavor combinations can increase your desire to eat and may help broaden your interest in food. The smell of herbs and seasonings should also help boost your appetite. You can also make food more interesting by increasing the variety of texture of foods at meals. If your oral health allows it, avoid eating just one texture of food at meal times. Get a little bit of soft, crunchy, chewy, etc. Foods at meals to help keep you interested.

You should start lifestyle precautions without any delay because both your cholesterol levels and LDL are pretty deranged and repeat your cholesterol levels after 4 weeks of starting these precautions, if they are still high then you will need to start taking medicines along with the lifestyle measures. The lifestyle measures you need are - 1) Daily 40 mins of exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming etc 2) Weight loss if you are over weight. 3) Diet change - reduce sugar containing foods, fried food from diet and add fibres, fruits and curd (please take a detailed diet consult for a healthy heart diet) 4)Quit smoking and drinking. 4) Get your TSH and Random Blood sugar tested to rule out any thyroid or sugar issues. 5) Reduce day to day stress from your life.

Depends upon the composition of the medicine you take. Kindly send the name of the medicine Over dosage is harmful. Calcium can be taken upto 1200 mg a day. Vit D3 can be taken upto 15000 IU a day.
