Azmarda is slightly better than Cardace. But overall both r gud. Slight benefit of Azmarda is off set by its high cost. please go to urs Cardiologist for any other cause of Dcmp. Azmarda reduces 21% hospitalisation and death over time.

There is no disease like low bp. It is liquid deficiency. 90/60 is normal. For recurrent cold take healthy high protein diet and gud liquid intake if still problem then consult Ent doc.

I want to know about the possibility or circumstances under which mild centric LVH becoming or developing into a real LVH in heart. What does such LVH mean and treatments for such LVH. If it is due to high blood pressure whether bp medicines alone sufficient to reverse LVH or any other medications reqd. Please give a little detailed answer.

Many causes of LVH .Common cause of LVH IS HYPERTENSION. LVH is like muscle hypertrophy. As we go to gym do wt lifting our muscles gets enlarged (hypertrophied). When we stop going to gym they again become flabby. Similarly LvH due to pumping of heart against high Bp, heart muscle get enlarged. It is reversible and by controlling Bp it reverses within 6 months. Thanks.

Hello, I am 34 female. I had ASD device closure 9 years back, last month I had an attack of tachycardia for 30 mnts. Next day I had done my ECHO, ecg Blood tests (lipid profile), all seem to be normal cardiologist suggested me to take met xl 12.5 mg twice and he said he will do holter in next month. I also suffer from palpitations almost regularly I take medicine for hypothyroid. I am very scared particularly of heart attack & I have very frequent episodes of general discomforts. Abdominal disturbances problem is, even with any slight discomfort in my chest, arm or any where, I got very scared, particularly of heart attack & I have very frequent episodes of general discomforts. Abdominal disturbances also occur with other discomforts (like dull ,sometimes sharp but point specific pain in chest for 5-6 secs, point specific pain in left arm). Can these pain & discomfort be heart related? Now I have a feeling that my doctors are not taking my concern seriously. My life is getting miserable.

Don't worry. You must be having some arrhythmia which will be picked by Holter test and managed accordingly. Arrhythmia are common after asd. But most of them are manageable. please do stop Metolar 48 hrs before Holter test. Otherwise picking of arrhythmia will be difficult. As per your query of heart attack very less chances. Normally God gives us one heart disease at time not two. Thanks.

My mom is 80 years old has a weak heart hence very often has water retention in her lungs and is on diuretic medication on prescription. However, since 2 weeks she has been complaining of breathlessness hence her care takers have started her on oxygen intake for 1 hour a day. My concern is does she need this or how much does she need whats the side effects. Also does living 4000 ft above sea level causes more breathing difficulty for a person in this condition. Please help.

She had worsening of heart failure thats why she required oxygen. Look for the cause like low hb, infection, or for drug compliance. Better to show her to her treating cardiologist. Oxygen requirement is temporary only.

Stop olmat and take lot of water. Monitor your bp for 6 weeks if less than 140/90 no medicines required. Walk for 30 min daily.
