  • Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD): MSUD causes fast neuronal degeneration by interfering with the metabolism of certain amino acids. It kills newborns if not treated within the first few months of life.
  • Hurler syndrome: Deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme IUDA, which aids in the breakdown of dermatan sulphate and heparin sulphate, is the underlying cause of Hurler syndrome (GAG).   • Zellweger syndrome: Genetic disorders such as Zellweger syndrome are inherited. It creates severe issues shortly after birth by interfering with cellular activity.
