Sir my mother's age is 54. She was detected with Potts spine in October. After using akt4 for 25 days she was put on rcinex 450 and combutol 1000 due to elevation in uric acid. She used them for 2 months. But not much improvement was there so another specialist started rcinex 600, combutol 1000 and pyzina 1500 on Dec 28th 2017 and she is using it till today ie 3 months & 10 days. The doctors removed the psoas abscess last week through us guided aspiration and asked her to use pyzina for another 15 days as little amount of puss was still left out in the psoas. Is it ok to continue pyzina even after these 3 months?

Can anti tb drugs (Ricnex 450/300, pyzina 1500 and combutol 1000) cause severe buttock/hip pain? Can anti tb drugs (Ricnex, pyzina and combutol) results in lowering of Calcium level and vitamin D3? Can anti tb drugs (Ricnex, pyzina and combutol) results in high level of uric acid? Is it possible that use of these drugs can cause weakness in body which results in limping movements? My mother 80 years old is on tb treatment since 8 months for 1st three months she was given rifampicin 300 inh 300 pyzina 750 combutol800 then in 4th month pyzina was stopped and rifampicin 450 along with inh 300 and combutol800 was continued after 20 days due to jaundice all medicines were discontinued n ethide 250 roxid 150 levoflox 750 was started n comb 800 was added after 15 days after 1 month pyzina750 also added know in 8th month inh 300 also added so which earlier medicines should be stopped her wt is 47 kg know losing 1 kg per month after jaundice.

Hi. My mother has latent TB and is using Rcinex 600, pyrazinamide 1500, benadon 40m, combutol 1200 mg, eltroxin 25mu g. After using them for 15 days she discovered skin rash all over her body doctor suggested streptomycin 750 mg injection and asked to stop using pyrazinamide and combutol for few days and asked to continue taking streptomycin until the rash recover. But streptomycin is not helping to reduce the rash. Can you please suggest any home remedy that can help her reduce itching and skin rashes. Thank you.
