A non diabetic’s blood sugar level should be between 70 and 140 mg/dL one to two hours after a meal, according to the American Diabetes Association. If it is lower than this, you could have a condition called hypoglycemia, in which blood sugars drop below 70 mg/dL after eating. Dear Lybrateuser, - Your blood sugar levels & Hb1ac levels are very high, consult your treating physician as you may require change of dose or medication
- also consult a dietician for your exact dietary requirements as a proper diet will help in regulating blood sugar levels - also do regular exercises walking, yoga to control the blood sugar level
- check blood sugar levels as advised & take medicines on time.

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query.
Fasting glucose 300 mg is too high. In this situation only Glimiperide 1 mg (Amaryl 1) is unlikely to be adequate. Even the other tablet Zoryl 1 mg is same. His treatment needs to be upgraded right away, by adding some appropriate drugs. Since there is no mention of any other relevant details it is difficult to advise.

Well your medicine is OK. If your duration of diabetes is short, meaning around one year, I would prefer to give you gliptin and metformi n combination.
