Drug allergy test result of my daughter Roja S. Rajan, age 20, Drug allergy test done at PRS hospital, Trivandrum. Piroxicam, Ketorolac, Diclofenac, ciprofloxacin, Benzyl Pensullin, Ampicillin these are allergic and Cefotaxin, ceftriaxone, paracetamol are doubtful allergic. Please any treatment for this drug allergy condition.

If we come to know that your daughter is allergic to these drugs than we should not administer those drugs for life time and if any allergic symptoms are present than we can give tablet cetrizine just to decrease the symptoms

Hi my son of age 5 years getting fever 104 in first day itself and after 2 days completion had a blood test in that they told that typhoid fever. After that we had medication I v ceftriaxone and tazobactam and oral as azithromycin. The medication is done for 2 days but fever 104 is coming for every 10 hours and we are giving meftal p syrup and reducing after 1 hour. Still how many days the fever comes like that? I am very worried for meftal p syrup to give or is it safe. Or I have to do any other blood test?

My 3 years daughter has been hospitalized from 3 days. She has showed symptom like running nose, ommiting, shivering and fever. On admission (10.30 night) doctor given Ceftriaxone 250 mg + mikacin 100 mg through iv Day 0+1 morning 250 mg ceftriaxone. + mikacin 100 mg through iv Blood urine report normal-blood cbc, hb 9.4, Hypochromia ++ normocytic RBC, neutrophil 79%, no malarial parasites, no jaundice, urine normal, 0+1 Night treatment 750 mg + mikacin 100 mg through iv Same for 0+2 days But fever comes periodically at 7 am, 12 am and 6 pm 0+3 morning 250 mg + mikacin 100 mg through iv + Chloroquine 12 ml 0+3 night 750 mg + mikacin 100 mg through iv Even though fever comes periodically.

Hi. I am a 35-year-old woman. From iran. I weigh 81 kilos.in the last three years, I have had regular kidney checks. The last one was six months ago. My creatinine number is always 0. 76 or 0.78.my laboratory range is 0.7 1.4.my urea number has always been 17 to 19. My normal laboratory range is 17 to 43. Butmy new test is my creatinine number 0. 88 and urea are 16. I have less than the normal amount in the laboratory. My creatinine is higher than usual. Has my kidney lost function and have been damaged? I have have been taking alprazolam for six years. Has the medicine damaged my kidney? Six months ago, I received six doses of one gram of ceftriaxone intravenously. Due to ocular sinusitis. Did the ceftriaxone damage my kidney? What should I do ?i had a urine test. My afternoon urine. It was completely normal. Should I have another test? Can my kidney get progressive damage? I'm very worried. Please help me.

My question is m I at a risk of contracting hiv or other bacterial std after using the following drugs as post exposure prophylaxis coz after 24 hr of exposure having mild fever n flu n ache symptoms. Yes there are chances of infection as you have taken antibiotics and they are not effective against virus like herpes or HIV.

Hello lybrate-user. Cetriaxone is an antibiotic and have no effects on viruses of HIV and hepatitis or herpes. So you have chances of it. Without proper tests it is not possible to determine whether you have contracted it or not.

Asked for male, 31 years old from Chennai

I am 29 years old male. I had mild fever for three days after which I consulted a doctor. He asked me to take lab tests for CBC and Widal test which I took. Salmonella typhi (O) was 1: 160 and Salmonella typhi (H) was 1: 80. He has prescribed me injection ceftriaxone 1g IV for three days two doses per day and he said that is enough and no need to take any other antibiotics. Now I have completed 5 doses and have only one dose remaining. He has not prescribed any antibiotics after when I have completed the injection doses. Do I need not take any antibiotics after the injection doses. Because I have learnt that the bacteria do not die easily and I may become a carrier for life long which bothers me more. Kindly help.
