Painkillers are only the bridge till your definitive management (which could be surgical removal of stones). Long term painkillers are usually harmful and hence not advisable.

It seems you are suffering from acute muscle spasm of lower back. Muscle relaxants and complete rest for 3 days with hot compress will be helpful.

Will need to evaluate by physical examination and diagnostic imaging like x rays/mri / blood tests. We may need to aspirate the joint if swelling is associated with pain. We need to find out the cause of pain. Do not consume painkillers for prolonged duration since it has its own side effects. Consult an orthopaedic surgeon.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Some patients may develop swelling in lower limbs due to retention of water and sodium following intake of certain NSAIDs like diclofenac. It could be due to not tolerating that drug. So it is better she avoids it. First thing is stop the drug and if needed some antihistaminic may be used. Swelling will go away after stopping the drug. Henceforth, she should avoid using that compound again. Thanks.

If chalazion has not responded to all the treatments you have taken then you will need to undergo incision and curettage. A small nick will be made on the swelling from the inner side of eye lid and all the collected secretions will be cleared.
