Once diabetes develops it is almost impossible to get rid of it. There has to be a proper treatment with specific drugs, diet control and regular exercise. Since there is no mention of her glucose levels (fasting & PP), HbA1c%, dietary pattern extent of daily exercise, weight, height, lipid profile & BP readings, there is no way to suggest anything. Your blood sugar levels are diabetic but at borderline.
At thos stage you should control it with diabetic diet and regular exercise.
Monitor blood sugar regularly and when blood sugar is not controlled or increases then medicine should be added under supervision of a physician/endocrinologist.
