If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately.
If you cannot go immediately for the physiotherapy treatment. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It ...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have sen the details given. I do not understand why did she not upgrade her treatment much earlier when there was no corona? Her fasting glucose shown has been extremely high. Ideally fbg should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg. Pp should be around 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 7% (both pp & hba1c% not mentioned). Her fasting glucose has been extremely high from 2019 april, almost 1 year back. Further there is no mention of following details: weight, height (your own...more

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The very fact that you have been advised to take Insulin injections for controlling blood glucose, suggests that only oral drugs seem to be not working effectively. This happens in persons whose blood glucose is exceptionally high to begin with. In some cases it is possible to do away with Insulin after some 3 to 4 months, once a strict control is achieved. Since there is no mention about your current glucose levels and HbA1c%, it is difficult to comment. ...more

Thank you for the query.
From your question I gather that you are already on glycomet trio (2 mg/500 mg/0.3 mg) thrice a day. This implies that you are on quite a high dose of oral anti diabetic agents. However, your sugar levels tend to remain high. I would like to enquire about your hbaic as that will give a better picture about your control. At this stage I would advice you to modify your diet (1400-1500 kcal) per day and opt for a exercise regimen (30 min per day for 5 days a week). Plea...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
When diabetes is well controlled with adequate medication fasting glucose is < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Your fasting glucose is high. There is no mention of other two parameters. So it is difficult to comment. Along with drugs diet and exercise are also very important is controlling diabetes. Thanks.
