Hello, Vilano 40 being a anti-depressant can cause insomnia, of course. I being a homoeopath can pass no comment on your medication.
It would be better & safe to consult your physician in this regards.
Tk, care.

Dear lybrate-user,
Most antidepressants work more or less at the same level. Mostly, you go by the side-effects - whether they are acceptable by you. Both Vilazodone and Bupropion have minimal sexual side effect. Fluoxetine has more erectile dysfunction.
Weight and sedation are also to be taken into account. If you can tolerate effective dose of TCA, you can try. Otherwise go for Venlafaxine. The only tip is - it is not the antidepressant. It is the duration (minimum 3-6 weeks) and dose ...more

Dear Chandraprabha,
It is safe to take vitamin C and Calcium supplements, if you have those deficiencies. Sometimes during depression the food intake is not proper. So these deficiencies occur needing treatment.

Guilt is good. Yes! Guilt actually encourages people to have more empathy for others, to take corrective action, and to improve themselves. Self-forgiveness following guilt is essential to esteem, which is key to enjoyment of life and relationships. Yet, for many, self-acceptance remains elusive because of unhealthy guilt – sometimes for decades or a lifetime.
Guilt may be an unrelenting source of pain. You might hold a belief that you should feel guilty and condemn yourself – not once, ...more

It is all due to Anxiety that you are facing this issue of not sleeping properly at night. I would suggest either you talk your anxiety out or write down the same on paper, tearing it of and then throwing it off in a dustbin thus allowing you to vent out your baggage of emotions, feelings and thoughts. If need be take a warm shower making you more relaxed before dinner.
