It is best to avoid alcohol when taking vilazodone as apart from causing drowsiness, it must be noted that alcohol is a depressant by nature. This means alcohol negates the effects of the SSRI and would not help the process of treatment. For this reason doctors advise not to consume alcohol when taking SSRI.

You need psychotherapy much more than medication. Also do follow a healthier lifestyle - go outdoors everyday go for a jog, if you can't jog - walk, if you can't walk - sit, if you can't go out at all - sit in an open area at home. But do spend time in natural daylight. Taka a healthy and balanced diet including plenty of water and fruits, do practice a few minutes of deep breathing daily. You deserve to live happily and peacefully. All the best.
