Asked for male, 21 years old from Ahmedabad

Doctors says, my mom is suffering from bppv. It's quite threatening for all of us. She cannot even sit for 5-10 min. It's her 3rd episode. She's taking cinnarizine, betahistine, pcm, cefixime, b-complex, and all. Can we have a permanent treatment? Currently she's suffering from one and it's very challenging for her. Improvement is very slow, it's been 6 days as of now. Please give some valuable inputs as of now how to treat this episode? Thanks in advance.

Dear doctors my father is 85 years old no bp light sugar he is on tablets he had vertigo 15 years back he is taking vetisar 16 cinnarizine tablets daily night anxit. 5 mg 3 tablets last six months twice time he had like fits or rigors less hearing what could be the reason and what we should do please guide he walk and do all his work.

I am 49 years old male I hv dizziness since 8 months no bp n no sugar I keep low bp rather showed to ent, neurologist n they gave medication like vertin, meclizine n cinnarizine but not helping at all. A general physician md prescribed me niacin nf (inositol nicotinate) I am not understanding why such medicine is prescribed?

I'm throwing up, diarrhea sick. I haven't eaten in 24 hours because I won't be able to keep it down. I can't drink either, only when I'm taking pills. The only thing stopping me from throwing up again is gravol (dimenhydrinate). I have just the last 2 pills of my" daily dosage" which is 400mg. The 24 hours isn't up until 10am tomorrow and I know I won't be able to sleep if I'm throwing up, I haven't slept well in a couple days so I really need it! And I have a fear of throwing up so I really don't want to throw up again. Am I allowed to exceed my daily dosage under these circumstance? Please get back to me with in the next 4 hours so I will know if it is alright to take more or not. Thank you in advance!

Dear sir once 3 years ago and a year ago I was attacked with bppv and used vertin course and came to normal max. Now once again it's been a month and half 3 days once it's getting attacked though I am on vertin 32 per day .apart from too much reeling during sleep, terrible dizziness, fog and pull in head. Is my problem permanent? No ear infections found. Please do suggest and save me from my chronic health condition.

I am having ringing in my left ear and balance problems from past one month, feeling tilted towards one side while sitting and feeling as if I might fall during walking. I had a checkup with ENT professor, when I asked could it be due to 'Meniere' he said its not Meniere. He prescribed me Cinnarizine 75 mg and Betahistine 48 mg for 15 days and said if the symptoms don't go away after 15 days, see a Neurologist. Can someone tell me whats the real problem. I don't think its some Neurological problem like a stroke or multiple sclerosis because I don't have another symptoms other than Tinnitus and balance problem. Also I am taking 50 microgram Thyroxine sodium for my hypothyroid ailment from past 7 months. Thanks.

Menier's disease is not that common at this age.
Whether you have any neurological issue or not that can be known by proper test like CT scan etc.
So better take tests.

My mother was suffering from vertigo and left side headache and was not able to turn on left side. After taking medicines1) Betron-16 (Betahistine )=2 tablets 3 tmes a day, 2)Solpin-ER 250 mg (Divalproex Sodium Extended Release)=2 tablets a day, 3)Lycoyat (Lycopene, multivitamins,Antioxidants )=2 times a day, 4)Stugeron plus (Cinnarizine 20 mg)=1 tablet 3 times a day, Rivotril 0.5 mg (Clonazepam)=2 tmes a day, 6)Duxito (Duloxetine 20 mg)=2 times a day, the vertigo has gone and their is relief in headache and now she can turn around also but Weakness has not gone and she has no feeling of hunger. How to cure this?

As the medicine are concern, you can redue the dose of revotril 0.5 to 0.25 twice daily. And further reduce to 0.25 once daily at night. Reduction of dose is to be according to patients outcome.

My age 27. Im stock market trader. Its a stressful one. 4 days back. My head rotating and fingers of hand and toes sharp needle pain sometimes. My bp is 140/90. Slight back side of head paining. Ears and eyes pain also. Im worrying is there any sign of brain stroke. In fmly history there is stroke for my father. Please tell me wat to do today I went to. Mbbs doctor left hand side have 140/90. Rght hand side normal saying dctr. Medmodal 650 azithromycin 500 vasograin cinnarizine. Suggested. Is it danger anything. Should I consult neurologist. Dctr. Please help me.

Hello lybrate-user. To me your symptoms seem to be suggestive of cervical spondylosis. I would advise to consult a physician to check for same. You should also get your cholestrols levels checked in view of the stroke history in family and your stressful job.

I advice you to take tablet vertin 8 mg thrice a day or tab cinnarizine 25 mg thrice a day. Do not take both take one of these.

Hello doctors, urgent help required! my mother is suffering from vertigo. We have gone to ortho he told us this is vertigo. Meri mother ko chakkar aate hai jab "sitting to sleeping position mai jati hai or sleeping to sitting position" mai aati hai. And karwa badlte hue bhi chakkar aate hai. She took vertin 16 mg 2 times, cinnarizine 25 mg 3 times, fludac once in a day. But koi aaram nhi hai. Is this confirm vertigo? Should we go to ent specialist or physiotherapist? Ortho doctor recommended physiotherapist maneuver exercise now m confused ki ent par jau therapist par? Please suggest?

If it's due to cervical vertebrae you required
x ray cervical reson ap n lateral view if any positive finding you need exercise n physiotherapy.
+ continue medicine.
No sudden change of neck position.
