Asked for male, 57 years old from Hyderabad

Dear doctor, This is my medical history. In year 2012, my creatine level increased suddenly up to 7.0. At that time urine flow also stopped. Doctors diagnosed that urine flow block is reason and BNI (Bladder Ncek incision) surgery done. With that urine flow problem solved and creatine level gradually came down to 3.0. It is maintained at this level till now. Every three months I am consulting nephrologist. As per his suggestion, I am using following medicines. Statics 10 mg one at night and nephro caps capsule one at night. Four months back I felt sudden occasional giddiness in brain, as if some thing was happening / flowing in it. I consulted physician He found my BP increased to 158 and recommended cilnidipine- 10 mg once a day at bed time, prolomet xl 25 mg - one in morning. Even with BP medicine BP controlled, giddiness didn't reduce. CAT scan and ECG were done and report found normal. I consulted neurologist. He prescribed zevert PVG tablets - 2 times a day and petril beta 20 tablets daily once before bed. As per his advice, I used Zevert for 20 days and petril for 40 days along with BP medicines. No my giddiness problem is almost solved. When I get occasional doubt, I am using zevert PVG tablets - 1 times a day and petril beta 20 tablets for 2 to 3 days. Currently medicines used by me, as per nephrologist advice are Prolomet xl 25 mg - 1 in morning Cilnidipine- 10 mg - 1 at night bed time Statics - 10 mg - 1 at night bed time Nephrocaps - 1 daily My query - I have a 11 year boy. For last, five years, I am dependent on viewing of soft porn movies and masturbation only for sexual satisfaction. Now a days, after masturbation, I am feeling as if some thing flowing in my body, feeling of lightness in my heart. I am getting a sense of fear, nervousness at that time. Is it because of any BP fluctuation at that time? Can I continue masturbation in this condition or I should stop. I need your kind advice.

Health Query

I am having ringing in my left ear and balance problems from past one month, feeling tilted towards one side while sitting and feeling as if I might fall during walking. I had a checkup with ENT professor, when I asked could it be due to 'Meniere' he said its not Meniere. He prescribed me Cinnarizine 75 mg and Betahistine 48 mg for 15 days and said if the symptoms don't go away after 15 days, see a Neurologist. Can someone tell me whats the real problem. I don't think its some Neurological problem like a stroke or multiple sclerosis because I don't have another symptoms other than Tinnitus and balance problem. Also I am taking 50 microgram Thyroxine sodium for my hypothyroid ailment from past 7 months. Thanks.

Menier's disease is not that common at this age.
Whether you have any neurological issue or not that can be known by proper test like CT scan etc.
So better take tests.

After taking medicines1) Betron-16 (Betahistine )=2 tablets 3 tmes a day, 2)Solpin-ER 250 mg (Divalproex Sodium Extended Release)=2 tablets a day, 3)Lycoyat (Lycopene, multivitamins,Antioxidants )=2 times a day, 4)Stugeron plus (Cinnarizine 20 mg)=1 tablet 3 times a day, Rivotril 0.5 mg (Clonazepam)=2 tmes a day, 6)Duxito (Duloxetine 20 mg)=2 times a day, the vertigo has gone and their is relief in headache and now she can turn around also but Weakness has not gone and she has no feeling of hunger. How to cure this?

As the medicine are concern, you can redue the dose of revotril 0.5 to 0.25 twice daily. And further reduce to 0.25 once daily at night. Reduction of dose is to be according to patients outcome.

My hubby is suffering 3 times vertigo in last 4 months, in initial stage when he pressed break of car, at that time feeling car ws running back faster. After 2 days when he slept, the entire roof is spinning faster. When he is walking, working, eating, nothing happens. He has taken medicine betahistine tablets ip for 3 days, after that no problem, again after 1 month or 2 months it is happening. Did the blood test before 6 months, cholesterol was 270, pl. Suggest.

I am 38/ (m). Had a vertigo episode in the year 2010. Ent doc. Cleared the ear wax and thereafter absolutely no issues for the last 10 years. 3 months back I had another vertigo episode, audiometry test ok, eng and vemp have slight right ear/side problem (bppv diagnosed). Exercises and betahistine have given but this time problem persists intermittently and slight tinnitus sometimes for about 5-10 secs only. Now the doctor gave me stablanz pv, caroverine, alzolam, pan d all for 1 month and I am afraid to take the piracetam component as my father used to take it for his alzheimer's disease. Do I really need this piracetam and zinko (cognitive enhancer!) right now?

I am female 56 and chronic hypertensive since last 10 yrs, presently taking cilacar t 40+10 but presently my bp is uncontrolled abd it average 140 plus and 90 plus, pulse average 100, spo2 96 disturbed sleep and occasional head ache with heaviness in head. Cilcar is a newer version of the old and reliable amlodipine BP medicine that has till now been the best BP medicine ever invented.

Telmesartan plus amlodipine 5 will keep your bp perfect, the newer version is milder and useful only if amlodipine is lowering your BP too much.

Unfortunately since cilacar is a newer product from Korea, it has not been taught to drs in our medical textbooks.
So using it is treatment based on hope more than knowledge

Hello My father in Law was a CA Lung Patient. His treatment started on April 2014. After 4th Chemotherapy with cisplatin and pemetrexed medicine Doctor suggests him to start Oral Medicine Gefitinib on the basis of EGFR Positive Report. After 1 year 3 months i. E. December 2015 again Plural effusion started in lung for that he was suffering with coughing till today 08-02-2016. Doctors have drain out the water inside the lung and suggested three cycle of chemotherapy and changed his medicine and started with 2nd line chemotherapy i. E. Carboplatin 600 mg and Paclitaxel 260 mg. On 11-01-2016 and second cycle on 01-02-2016. His third cycle will be on 22-02-2016. He yet not reduced his weight and appetite. Only frequent coughing is creating problem at night also. He has taken all kind of medicines and antibiotics whenever Doctors prescribed but still its not cured. Please suggest some remedies.

He seems to be case of metastatic ca lung. The treatment intent here is only supportive. You may give him cough suppressants like codeine syrup 2 teaspoons, thrice a day to reduce cough. But thst is not likely to improve his fight against cancer. Also was pleurodesis done, last time water was drained, otherwise it may have recollected.

Sir, my mother age 70 is suffering from esophagus cancer since August 2016. 3 cycle of cisplatin and 5fu followed by 23 radiation ends on February 2017. From may 2017 she feels sometimes occasional problem in swallowing food.in December 2017 endoscopy done suggest s 6 cm squm cell carcinoma which was confirmed in may 2018 pet scan results 5.9 cm mass met. Sorry to know about your mother suffering. From what I guess unable to swallow is troubling her more .For that there are options of either to insert Endoscopy guided Ryles tube (food pipe) or Esophageal Stent. If the above not possible then there is another option of doing a small surgery to insert a tube directly into the Jejunum that known as Feeding Jejunostomy. Please discuss all the options with your Oncologist for better guidance.
