Hi, I can understand your worries. please don't panic and stick to doctor's advice. Tell your husband to have high protein diet and less spicy and fat free diet. Do regular blood tests and other tests. Take information from Google but don't conclude them on your own. If you have any doubt clear them with the doctor.

It seems like a very complicated scenario and your attempt to describe his symptoms and problems seems to be very clear. It is very likely that cirrhosis has made his medical condition worse. I believe you need to closely monitor his kidney and liver functions and day to day activities. No amount of alcohol is safe. Abstinence from alcohol and medicine for existing symptoms is must.
