Hi, I am a 35 year old female. I had UTI few weeks back and still not recovered fully. The doctor has prescribed Urimax 2.0 along with other medicines. Please suggest is it ok to take Urimax as I have been told that this drug is not administered to women.

I take urimax d tablet for 30 days .after consuming 2 tablets for 2 days I noticed that my penis not getting erection but it is normal before taking the urimax d .now I feel no sex in my body. 2 months over but it not getting normal. What to do?

Can I eat urimax and pyridium 200 together? I had problem passing urine so doctor asked to take urimax and get rgu and MCU done. Had a lot of burning after tests, so radiologist suggested to take pyridium 200.

Get a follow up USG done after the course of the medicines you are taking. If the urine flow is normal and if the RUV is negligible at that time, then you may not need the outflow tract surgery in case of BEP. If during examination if the treating surgeon suspects malignancy, PSA may be advised. The plan differs if the PSA is raised.

One week back there was pain while urinating and next day stopped urine. After three days (i am given to understand I should not have waited for three days) went to hospital and removed the urine inserting catheter. sonography done, enlarged prostate in size 5.5 x 4.1 x 3.7 cms. 44 cc. 2017 sonography 4.3 x 3.4 x 3.5. They have advised me to go for operation. But the question is, is it necessary? Most of the people after the age of 60 have enlarged prostrate. Was it not possible that I had some temporary inflammation or stiffness in urinary organs and urine stopped? Is enlarged prostate of the size mentioned require operation? As it stands they have prescribed urimax d (tamsulosin hydrochloride & dutasteride )tablets. They warned me not to remove catheter unless I am operated. I am walking around with catheter. Your valuable advice please.

you can try removing cather after a week of therapy. if you pass urine normally after catheter removal then continue medicine, if you have difficulty while passing urine then you need surgery.

Dizziness and vertigo is due to urimax, thats why it's advised to take it at bed time. And the symptoms are much more common if you are on antihypertesive medication, .so it's advisable to take antihyertesive medicine in day time and urimax just before going to bed. Niftran is the safest long term prophylactic antibiotic.

you may continue taking if you have symptoms of hypothyroidism. also if initially the tsh was very high and it is under control with the drug. u may continue taking. urimax may cause fall in bp. but as it is the drug of choice fr bph u may continue taking if u are not symptomatic like if u dont have dizziness etc.

You can continue this medicine as long as you feel comfortable with it. Medicine for prostate is usually taken for a longer period.

I was having problem as I had to urinate very frequently and I was treated for UTI but after 15 more days my ultrasound showed a little enlarged prostrate and I was prescribed urimax D.But now after 15 days I am feeling ok and fine almost as good as normal. My question is small I continue with urimax D or shall I discontinue? And also since then I am also having black coloured motions. Has OT also to do something with the problem?

You can continue medicine as long as you are comfortable with it. Usually medicine for prostate continue for longer duration. Meet a gastroenterologist for black stools. Urimax d does not cause this.

1. Benign prostatic enlargement or
2.sibetic cystopathy
