Levofloxacin is not must for tb treatment. There are other better drugs for tb. Better consult a resp. Phy.

Last month I lost my virginity last month (November) and was diagnosed with uti 2 days later. I completed an entire levofloxacin course of 5 days. When I had sexual intercourse for the 2nd time (in a gap of 1 month, ie in December) I was facing similar symptoms (like frequent micturition and intense pain while urinating) along with blood in my urine which was quite a lot. My urine was turbid and had a reddish color, sometimes with a few visible drops of blood. I just had my period, but the blood in urine did not resemble menstrual blood. Last night I had some alcohol and I had to urinate almost 8-9 times and I was blood every angle time with severe pain while urinating and also pelvic pain. But today when I woke up the pain had reduced and there was only very little blood in the urine which eventually became invisible after 3-4 times urinating. The pain has still been there in the pelvis and vagina. I had pain in my back and I've been feeling feverish but that can also be due to all the exertion from yesterday since I had travelled all day and did not sleep properly at night.

Hello and greetings lybrate-user
look you are suffering from orchitis. Your doctor has done well to diagnose the condition.
This condition resolves by a combination of god hygiene, medicines, rest and sexual abstinence including masterbation for 3 months.
Healthy lifestyle like having a balanced diet, avoiding junk, oily and spicy food, exercise, plebe of water 3to 4 litres per day, meditation will help you recover.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details mentioned. You are on multiple medications. In this communication we are supposed to give only general advise, no specific frugs can be recommended or prescribed. You are already on glimiperide 2 mg (whether once a day or twice is not clear). That drug has a tendency to cause hypoglycemia in older people. So that could be one of the reasons for low glucose in the morning. Hemoglobin 7.7% is this only hemoglobin or is it hba1c%? If ...more

Age-28, height 5 ft 11 inch, weight 82 kg, my serum psa total in 2016 was 0.77 ng/ml but today on 4 august 2020, my serum psa came 2.06 ng/ml. I am worried about this significant increase in 4 years that is at an rate of 0.33 ng/ml /per year. I did this test today because on 29 may I got uti for which I took nitrofurantoin and levofloxacin and on 1 july my usg kub was normal and prostate volume shows 21 cc. But on 7 uly I got blood in semen and on 13 july also but I did not feel any pain and now m not getting any blood but I am having whole body bones pain specially hips, rib cage, teeth, feet and hand. Does that significant increase in psa from 2015 to 2020 which is 2.06 ng/ml is normal or abnormal? Can I have chance of prostate cancer. I am worried too much because of my weakened bones in 2 months that I felt never before?

Hi Mr. lybrate-user getting blood in semen is not normal. It must be investigated thoroughly. You must get semen analysis done from laboratory and also semen culture for infection.
The chances of having prostate cancer at this age are very rare, it could be infection or some other cause.
Since you also have multiple bony pains, it also needs to be investigated. It can be deficiency of vit d or calcium or may be a metabolic disease.
Consult a urologist and follow his advice.
