No it's not safe during breast feeding. Get ultrasound done to rule out retained pieces because breast feeding mother has low period
rule out other causes of bleeding and don't take routine tablet to stop blood, bleeding anywhere in the body.

Get an ultra sound repeated and if still there is no remains get yourself tested for blood disorders and if eveything is fine you can be given progeterone only pills.
