Get an Xray chest done with an ultrasound abdomen and follow up with reports and For fever take one tablet paracetamol 650 mg and can repeat it after eight hours as and when needed and stop Diclo-para combinations and Get your vital parameters of the body checked from a nearby doctor and follow up with findings.

I want to consult for my mother, age-53y. Three weeks ago she feels mild aches right lower back side occasionally. So we went to gp two weeks ago, gp suggested for usg whole abdomen and urine culture. Usg report is normal but urine culture found escherichia coli (100000 cfu/ml of unspun urine). But no burning sensation during urine. Antibiogram of culture report: amikacin – scefotaxime- cefixime- s ciprofloxacin- norfloxacin- ofloxacin- r levofloxacin-i lomefloxacin-imeropenem- moxifloxacin- Inalidixic acid- nitrofurantoin- s gentamycin- spiperac/tazobactam- samplicillin/sulbactam-s (s=sensitive,i=intermediate, r=resistant) gp prescribed - martifur 100 tablet - once for first 3 days, twice for next 12 days. Syp uriliser- 2table spoon 1/2cup water twice but no improvement after two weeks. Again consult with gp, he prescribe - o2 tablet – twice for 5 days martifur 100 – once for 10 days. But no improvement. As per antibiogram e.coli has ofloxacin resistant. But gp prescribed o2 tablet (ofloxacin-200 mg). Does o2 tablet works against these strain bacteria? Martifur 100 tablet - once for first 3 days, twice for next 12 days. Can this antibiotic effective because initially 3 days once a day (may be low dose, may bacterial got resistant for low dose)? Please suggest another medicine which would be better.

The doctor has prescribed an antibiotic for which e coli is sensitive. If the course is over, after stopping the antibiotic for 48 hrs do a repeat culture and sensitivity.
All her to drink plenty of water also.

I had my widal test as 1: 80, 1: 80. I was admitted in hospital and treated with piptaz antibiotics for 3 days. They discharged me as wbc count was back to normal and fever was gone. After 1 day, fever was back on every afternoon like before. Widal was negative. Recently, did a fever profile, it's again showing widal positive 1: 80, 1: 80 after 10 days. I still have around 100.4 F fever, not more than that. Its less in morning. Please suggest what's needs to be done. Doc is adamant to admit in hospital again. I've changed my doctor, previously was on cefixime antibiotics, new doc prescribed cefpodoxime antibiotics.

Widal reports showing 1:80 titres are not confirmative of typhoid infection but there is some kind of primary infection which we have to treat and we might need a combination of antibiotics say for example ( cefixime with ofloxacin)

Ofloxacin drops is useful for infection of the stye or eye lid and unless you have infected style there is no need for the drops

Hi, my wife got fever, so when consulted to doctor and had urine test, found she had urine infection so doctor suggested some medicines (UTIKIT - probiotic and probiotic capsules and Cefakind 250). Doctor also advised to get urine test done for me to see if there is any infection, so I had too done the urine test but my doctor is unavailable and out of station for 2 weeks. So I am posting the report details here, so please check and suggest me if I too had any infection and if so please suggest what to do. Report Result: Specimen: Urine Smear Report (Gram Strain): 3-5 pus cells, 1-2 epithelial cells and Gram negative Bacilli were seen. Going by the reports, you need to treat both simultaneously and avoid coitus till future samples from both of you show no growth on culture. Treatment from your physician with a drug from the most sensitive to antibiotic group for sufficient duration is mandatory.

I'm a 17 year old boy from nepal. 2 months ago ,suddenly one day I masturbated, my sperm count & volume was quite low than usual .i thought it was normal but after a week ,i had so much of testicle pain.& I visited urologist, my ultrasound report was normal but doctor told me to do urine test & with my culture report ,i was diagnosed with staphylococcus aureus .in report, I am resistance to nitrofurantoin, cefixime, ofloxacin, amoxicillin, amikacin, cefepime, co-trimoxazole, ciprofloxacin but sensitive to levofloxacin, ceftriaxone, & amikacin. Doctor gave me levofloxacin for 1 week, my pain was somehow cure through that antibiotic but again after a week my pain is back,& this has almost become 1.5 months, my pain is not severe but whenever I touch testicle ,it pains & one most serious ,tensed thing for me is my sperm count is still being lowered ,its volume has become low. Whenever, I research on staph infection, it stays it can lead to infertility so please please suggest me what to do ,im so tensed. Please help me doctor ,what should I do should I visit same doctor or? Im very worried mainly regarding my sperm volume. Plz.

Your symptoms are suggestive of epididymo-orchitis, infection of the testis and cord structures, kindly repeat a urine routine examination and perform an ultrasound examination of testes, get back to me with the reports for medications.
