Can less oxygen supply to brain cause seizure? My mother when first got seizure one month back was said that oxygen was not supplied properly. She was taking levetiracetam. Now there is something in the eeg report. That time the eeg was normal. What can be the reason. Please help.

These are likely to be non-specific somatoform symptoms. But you need to get a neurology consultation, as you are an epilepsy patient and is taking levesam.

Me and my partner had sex in january 17 2020 after sex she had ipill and got her periods on 21 after that in february around 10th feb she got and seizure attack while sleeping and was admitted to hospital where she again had periods for about 4 days and after that she is advised to take levesam 500 mg per day this month march she hasn't had her periods plus she has also gained about 2 kg weight in last one month since february what could be the reason we were not involved in sex after january 17. What could be the reason for no periods.

Use of high dose of progestrone in seizure patients is not recommend so we do not use the ipill again.

I have a kidney stone in both kidney 5 mm and 5.5 mm and gallbladder micro calculi last year in february 2019 I diagnosed. I have taking a medicine for three month .alkasol syrup, urimax (0.4) and ctd (12.5) but last year my weight was 37 and now the weight gain much more 55 kg .and I also eat anti epileptic drug last year february 2019 the drug name is levesam 500 for two times .but my problem is my both kidney side is enough pain and my weight is also much more gain .i want to know due to kidney stone my weight is gain because my neurologist doctor told me that levesam 500 will not cause show much weight gain .and last 4 to 5 month my another problem arise both breast discomfort also happening. Pls tell me what reason my weight is gain due to kidney problem.

Hai your kidney stones are very smaller, so they won't cause weight gain. Get renal and thyroid function tests done and consult a doctor.

Hi, I am 34 years old male. I have been suffering from epilepsy since age 12 and have been on regular medication since then. Though now I don't get seizures since many years but I am continuing regular medicines such as Cloba, Levilex 250 & 500, mazetol as prescribed by my doctor. As my life is completely stressed out and I go to sleep late night on regular basis and I am completely pressurised with work load so I am facing problem in my sex life since last few months. Though I feel it's anxiety disorder because I have been facing this issue since last six seven months and I had sex not that frequently and I feel some erection problem too. I have recently ordered Shilajit Gold. So I wish to know is it safe to consume this medicine as I am already taking medicines for epilepsy and also I wish to know whether these medicines are causing any side effects or not. If it is safe then please guide me the proper way to consume the same.

your husband is suffering from epilepsy with generalised tonic clonic seizures and this is inspite torleva he is taking. The dose of torleva can be increased to a maximum of 3.0 gm /day, depending upon the weight of your husband. I feel ths dosage of medicine needs to be increased straightaway and could have decided how much to give if I knew his weight. However this is the best solution for your husband.

Hello,
there are two problems which need to be addressed. The first is continuation of torleva 5 years after the seizure. In majority of the seizures there is an attempt to withdraw antiepileptic medicine after a seizure free period of three years. Only very few epilepsies requiore medication life long. Hello Doctor, I am on treatment for epilepsy since 2008. Eeg, mri reports are normal. Taking 1g sodium valproate and 750 mg Levetiracetam since then. Had total 6 seizure attacks in the last 11 years. Reason - Sleep was less. Last fit was 3 years back in Aug 2015. Should I continue taking the medicine? Please advise as I really do not want to take medicine unnecessarily. Also, me and my wife are thinking of planning baby now. Does this medicine has any impact on sperm? Thanks.
