30m, active. productive cough over 8 weeks, shortness of breath - resolves with daily salbutamol, chest xray normal. Extreme fatigue, left chest ache (not acute), lower leg weakness after exercise, and the need to rest immediately. Something viral?

Hello One of my friends (25 years old) has asthma problem. He has allergy with medicine and dust. Breathing is hard to him. While he becomes tired, he cannot breathe well. What is the medication? You are on wrong advise. salbutamol inhalation is a rescue medication to be used in emergency only. Can use LABA and ICS combination by inhalation with spacer

Thanks for your suggestion. I am on Theo-asthalin tabs 1-0-1 and Aerocort inhaler, which contains both a long acting beta 2-agonist and a cartico steroid. Asthmatic attacks have disappeared. I have a question. I am on Valium 2 mg 1-0-1 for anxiety and Nitrosun 10 mg 0-1-0 for my afternoon distress. Of course, they have been prescribed by my psychiatrist. They belong to the same group viz Benzodiazepine. Kindly clarify, if they can be taken together out of fear of toxity.

Valium and nitrosun as rightly said are benzodiazepines usually prescribed for relieving anxiety and they do impart good sleep. There are few chances of toxicity at the dosage which you are taking but they need to taken cautiously when one is having history of asthama. There are more chances of being dependent on them if taken for long period of time as they have addictive potential.

Dear Dr. My dad age 65 years has asthma as season has changed he get allergic bronchitis. He take theoasthalin along with gp medc he get lot of coughing and white sputum cum. Yest he got coughing and than syncope. Need advice on what precaution he should take so his coughing stop n as he take lot of mediation want sum natural remedies.

Exercise like walking, cycling or swimming, Yoga etc regularly.
Diabetic diet. Small frequent meals instead of large ones. Take lots of vegetables.
Take medicines as advised.
Monitor blood sugar & BP regularly.

I am 57 years old, male, asthmatic, diabetic with certain psychotic symptoms, the details of which have been discussed at length and suitable answers and advises have been received. So, only thing I have to say is with medications all the symptoms are under control. Let us concentrate on Asthma. I am on Theo-asthalin tablets, Asthalin and Budecort inhalers and the symptoms are under control. As advised, I am going to stop Asthalin inhaler and switch on a better beta 2 agonist inhaler Serobid and continue Budecort inhaler with immediate effect. My question is: As I am an asthmatic since birth, I require a good Bronchodilator tablet regularly. Due to side effects of Theo-asthalin tablets, kindly suggest a good and a safe bronchodilator without side effects, a list of which is given below: A) Terbutaline Sulphate (Bricanyl 5 mg 1-0-1) or B) Bambuterol (Beta 2 Agonist - Betaday 10 mg 1-0-1) or C) Doxophylline 400 mg 1-0-1 or d) Deriphyllin Retard 150 mg 1-0-1 Kindly advice me.

Hello Doctor, I am suffering from vibrations in my body since last 4 months. I feel these vibrations (tremors) getting severe when I am tired or sleepy. Or even when I wakeup my body starts vibrating and hearts starts pounding. I was under bronchitis treatment for about a year and was given salbutamol inhaler for which my body is very sensitive. For the first few days my doc said it was due to the salbutamol that tremors have come. But as time passed instead of decreasing these tremors rather increased. I was also diagnosed of thyroid some 2 months back. Could this be due to thyroid as my doc says now. Or is it due to some neurological problem. Please help.
