Dear Raja,
There is a risk of becoming dependent on medication like anxit. If you have taken it for several years there is good chance that you may develop some withdrawal symptoms when you come off it. Please talk to your doctor about an alternative. Discontinuing suddenly is not a good idea, your doctor will help you manage your tapering schedule. Take care.

Hello. There are many indications for the use of anxit which is a benzodiazepine. And these drugs are available only with the prescriptions as these are misused by many people as drug of abuse.
So a psychiatrist would want to know the details of your intake and reason for it so that you get the required prescription.

Hi lybrate-user, thank you for your query. White coat hypertension per se might not be the actual reason for your elevated bp. Kindly consider other factors like: stress from work or home, eating food thatâs high in sodium or consuming a lot of caffeine etc. The list goes on.
Regarding alprax, that is a treatment modality considered for anxiety or panic attacks.
If possible kindly rest for 15-30 mins before bp check up. Keep your mind open. Hypertension if present is treatable.

You can slowly tapper of the Medicine. U can also consult a Psychiatrist for the help you need to stop alprazolam.
There r 2 possible scenarios:
1. Slowly reduce dose of alprax
2. Alprazolam is a short acting benzodiazepine, it can be replacez with long acting benzodiazepine and then slowly reduce the dose.
U can consult me for further queries.
