your blood glucose is really high for your age. You need to control your blood glucose levels aggressively, otherwise, you will be at a very high risk of diabetes complications as you are young. You need some drastic lifestyle changes and change in medications. When did you do your hba1c (glycosylated hemoglobin)

It requires a thorough examination and review as to why she complains of sudden hunger and palpitations. Let the doctor also review her cardiac functions and other aspects of health to come to some conclusion. She can be taught to check her blood sugar with a glucometer (easy to do) at home on a regular basis so that the doctor can examine the trend. Please discuss the various options to educate the patient so that she can take proper precautions without getting panicky. Kindly read about Diabet...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given. It is clear that at present the diabetes is totally uncontrolled. Because he is obese ((BMI 32.57 kgs/Sq meter), doctor must have concluded he has T2 DM. But it is better if you get C-peptide test plus GAD antibodies, to confirm whether there T1 DM. I have a few questions: 1) What is his routine diet? In detail like from early mornong till he goes to sleep.
2) What is the amount of daily exercise being done both interms ...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. As regards your blood glucose control, it is excellent. In such a situation I do not see the need for any additional medication like pioglitazone half tablet twice a day. As regards bp and changing to benidipine it may be in your doctors judgment that drug could be more suitable to you. I really have no say on that. However, I do not see any reason for adding pioglitazone with metformin when you have such a good control. Thanks.

Absolutely no. Both are completely different medicines. Tenepride has one molecule where as in tripride its combination of 3 molecule.
