Your kidney numbers include 2 tests: acr (albumin to creatinine ratio) and gfr (glomerular filtration rate). Gfr is a measure of kidney function and is performed through a blood test. Your gfr will determine what stage of kidney disease you have – there are 5 stages.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Usually Tenelegliptin with metformin is given once a day. Whereas Glimiperide and metformin combinations are (either 1 mg, 2 mg with 500 mg metformin) are given once or twice a day. Tenelegliptin is given once only. I am not aware of twice a day dosage. Please check with your doctor and adjust the dose. Thanks.

Thank you for your query.
Yes for sure your blood sugar can be under control without insulin. We need to change the medications a bit for that.
Secondly you need to loose 3-5 kgs for better control of blood sugar. For complete advice and prescription you can book an online consultation with me. Thank you.

Mr. Lybrate-user, what are present fasting, pp and hba1c% readings? that will give me an idea about what kind of control needs to be established or any additional treatment to be given. Also inform bp readings. Plus looking at your weight and height your bmi is 27.18 kg/m2, signifying over weight. Your ideal body weight should be about 59 kgs. Tis als contributes to improper control due to increased insulin resistance. Weight reduction will also take care of acidity and bp control.

Allopathic treatment does not cure diabetes... they just keep the blood sugar in control...
better start homoeopathic treatment side by side...

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
The reason for prescribing tenelegliptin -m is to help achieve better glucose control. To give a clear opinion I need to know fasting, pp glucose (current) and hba1c%, present diet pattern and extent of daily exercise and weight control. Ideally in well controlled diabetes fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, pp 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 6.8% if you have any specific doubts please do come back. Thanks.
