Currently I am under treatment for vitiligo and as proscribed I am using the medication which is causing redness and itching and it feels like burning. Is it normal or should I stop using the medicine? I am using - tacvido forte ointment 1 mg, flutivate 0.05 cream and melanocyl 1% solution.

Hii, if the itching and redness persists, it is possible that you have got mild burns. Stop melanocyl for a few days.
You can start with lesser sunexposure time after application of melanocyl. You should increase it in a graded manner. Please consult your dermatologist.

This may lead to improvement. Please trust the doctor that you are consulting. Alopecia areata can be treated and 9/10 times does not recur after treatment.

Patch may be sd, pityriasis alba, ad, previtiligo, or many other causes. Don't use medicine as hit and try manner. Consult with your dermatologist about what disease and treat accordingly. If this is due to sd, use onabet-sd lotion/ tacroz forte lotion 0.1%

Yes it is right ointment for your treatment. Any way you should wait and watch for a couple of more years. This drug actually helps only a very few people. Most of the people develop facial hair on their own as they grow older but if the drug is used simultaneously we can not say what actually worked. I would suggest to a have patience for a few more years.
