Hi lybrate-user your child is 50 days old which is less than 3 month of age, he is not very much immune to disease and so the risk of serious bacterial infection is high in such cases. So I suggest you to kindly suggest your doctor again if the fever is above 100.5 f. If it is below that and baby is doing well gaining weight active and alert we usually do not consider it a fever so no need of doing anything.

Hello lybrate-user! There are different treatment of different problem! Fever can b due to many problem! It can b viral or any other infection! Once fever did not decrese within one day of home medication you need to get your baby got checked up! Keep him hydrated! Liquid more! Antibiotic does not produce side effects in one dose but dnt start without Dr. advice! Diarrhoea may b due to disease affection only! Do whtwver your child specialist advice!
