My daughter is 3 years old. She was having mild cold for more than 10 days and got fever which went to 101-102 so I gave her calpol 250 mg 2 doses in 6 hrs gap giver went away also started giving Sinarest AF continued for 4 days Now fever is not there. Mild cold is there. She has got dry cough now. She is coughing badly. I am giving her honey and ginger juice but no effect. Please suggest dry cough remedy. Night time sometime it becomes worst due to coughing she has vomited once.

You can go for syrup dextromethorphan/phenylephrin combination. Give dosage 4-5 ml four times a day. But please give only after taking a proper prescription slip from a registered doctor near you.

Please do salt water gargling thrice a day and drink hot liquids like turmeric/ginger tea. If possible buy strepsils and betadine gargle solution from the pharmacy. If you develop dry cough, take benadryl (dextromethorphan) cough syrup twice a day, morning and night.
