lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query.
I have seen the query. However, there is no specific information on either tsh t4 levels. Without knowing those it is not possible to give any opinion. The words like "increasing levels or normal level" do not give any idea of the exact situation. So please come back with specific details like t3, t4 & tsh current or very recent levels and also if you have done anti tpo antibodies, mention that too. As regards taking the ayurvedic preparation mentioned,...more

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. There is no mention of what symptoms you have now. Secondly, since when are you on 25 mcg of levothyroxine? Almost all the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check when tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l. But it takes over 4 weeks for that change to occur after starting the treatment. So patients are advised to check tsh after 6 weeks of taking levothyroxine every day. So please clarify these points. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query You should start with a dose of 75 mcg daily, to begin with. Then check TSH again after 6 weeks, if the level remains high (above 3 mU/L) then there has to be further increase in the dose. You will have to check TSH every 6 to 8 weeks till the levels are stabilsed to about 2 to 3 mU/L. Thanks.
