Invokana and Motivyst contain same pharmacological ingredient that is Canagliflozin. Usually they are safe in boarder line in kidney, liver or heart problems however periodic check up are required to access the problems and suitability of the drugs to maintain HbA1c below 7%.

SInce you are already on Glycomet GP and Invokana (Canagliflozin 100 mg), one needs to give a closer look at your diet and exercisem plus height and weight. There is no info on height. The drug canagliflozin (invokana) acts on sgl2 receptors in the kidney and prevents reabsorption of glucose from kidney and reduces blood sugar. In this action there is no additional effect on other substances that are excreted by kidney. There is no excess loss of any otherelctrolyr by the action of canagliflozin.

Invokana is very new drug in india, its safety in clinical studies is good, however, we are yet to use it regularly. It has definite advantages some of the existing treatments. Taking insulin injections is in fact really good for you as it can bring sugar levels rapidly under control.

The glucose level mentioned (125 mg) if it is fasting glucose level, then it is not in the diabetic range. 101 mg to 125 mg fasting glucose is pre-diabetic one.
