Asked for female, 44 years old from Delhi

I have been getting bois since 6-7 months. It gets dry and then reoccur. My hbal1c was 7 almost 15 days ago. During last one year my hbal1c was fluctuating between 7.5 - 8.2. I have taken antibiotics like cefixime tab 500, cloxride 500, cephalexin 500 but nothing worked. Please advise some good medicine. Please note it's boils instead of bois (i am unable to edit) I am diabetic and have thyroid also. I do take metformin 850 & gb2 - bd and thyroxine 100.

I have gone through the details mentioned. The skin infection (boils) can recur if complete eradication doesn't occur. The antibiotics that you have been on may not as effective on staphylococcal infection. Plus there is a need to have a stricter blood glucose control. So please look at these aspects. I am 8w 4d pregnant & I have been having back ache near my spine on the left side for a couple of days now. I urinate so frequently. And sometimes I feel like I need to pee while i'm about to finish peeing. No fever, no burning sensation & no itchiness in my private areas. I called my obgyn office today & they told me to go to the er. The er doctor did a urine test & ultrasound (normal result). But urine has wbc & no bacteria. Doc told I am uti symptomatic & the nurse just gave keflex (cephalexin) which I took 500 mcg (i regret it later). Is cephalexin safe during pregnancy? Some small studies have shown cardiovascular & neurological disorders in newborns. I am worried & having second thoughts whether to continue or taper off the dosage after consulting my obygn. The doctors who saw me - one is an intern & another is an internist in er medicine.

I am 45 years female . I have a prob lame of urinary burn. Uti is a chronic problem. You should take treatment minimum for 4 wks. Take plenty of liquids to flush the kidney. You should get urine c& s tested from any pathological laboratory to select the drug which is effective to you.

She is on sporidex from beginning. 1.will vur usually get corrected by itself by 2 year age 2.should we go for alternative like surgery. Yes with growth it get corrected but will require surgery at a certain age if not improved. Your urologist is the right person to decide the age. Invariably it take place once growth is complete. Till then you have to train you child for pee training. Not to let him accumulate too much urine in bladder so that it back fires. I was suffering throat infection. I had taken, cefalexin and amoxicillin 500, antibiotic and levo cetrizine 5 mg, and nasal decongestant drop for a week. Now I am quite well. But I am suffering of tinnitus in ear for last 3 weeks, and it sounds like a high pitch whistling sound in my left ear. And the intensity of sound is not very high, when I am in work, I can't feel it, but in quite place I can feel it. It started 3 weeks earlier, after the onset of infection, on the 3rd day. And now after 3 weeks it is still disturbing me. It is quite disturbing and I am afraid also. Pls help me. Shall I be all right. Also may be it can help. I am very susceptible to cold air. I have mentioned in allergy section. Pls help.

My son is 4 months old for one month he is suffering from frequent urination. The first doctor gave taxim o drops for five days after that he went for an ultrasound. It was debris in urinary bladder with internal echoes he also got klebsiella oxytoca in culture. Then the doctor wrote amikacin and cefuroxime injections. But we don't go for injections as my boy had no fever vomiting or weight loss. We changed the doctor and the other doctor wrote zifi drops. We used it for 10 days. But the urine frequency is 30 mins now. He referred to a nephrologist. He got his mcug test done which is normal. The doctor advised sporidex for one-half month after which he suggested dmsa scan. We are using sporidex now 0.5 ml. Now the baby stream is low sometimes and normal sometimes but the output is reduced. Frequency is the same. Complete urinalysis is 3 -4 pus cells always. Is it normal?

Sir my son is 4 months old now. Since one month he was suffering from frequent urination. For every 15 mins. While passing urine he cries. We took him to doctor he has taxim o drops. We used 5 days but no use we went for complete urinalysis it had 3 -4 pus cells remaining is normal. He asked fr ultrasound and culture. Ultrasound showed debris in urinary bladder with internal echoes and culture showed klebsiella oxytoca 10^5cfu/ml. He wrote injections but we dint go for injections as he is jus 2 month 15 days old no fvr no vomiting no weight loss. Other dtcr wrote zifi drops used for 10 days. Still he urinates for every 20 to 30 mins. He wrote to a nephrologist. We used amoxyclav drops for 5 days and he got mcug scan which is normal. He wrote sporidex drops for 6 weeks after that he advised dmsa scan. Presently we are using sporidex drops for 4 days. He still passes urine frequently but in reduced amounts. The stream is not free now. Is it normal?

Better consult an urologist or a pediatric urologist. One single infection in the urinary bladder can be possible. Get a repeat urine culture. To see whether all bacteria is killed. Or is it persisting inspite of many antibiotics.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Some times regular skin infections like boils do occur in diabetic patients, more so if the control is not very good. It is difficult give any specific advise as you have not given all the necessary information like actual fasting, pp glucose, dietary details & extent of daily exercise as well as weight & height.
