Hello, Laser toning by Q-Switched Nd: YAG is an effective and safe procedure. The results would be appreciable visibly. To mantain the results, your dermatologist might ask you to continue some topical cream/lotion after the procedure along with sunscreen. There are no longterm bad effects of the treatment. The device used should be of good quality however, like SPECTRA-XT or MEDLITE. Ask your dermatologist about the device he/she would use.
