This problem is only related to ent specialist. He is expected to give you an exact diagnosis after examination like excoriation, allergic rhinitis, deviated septum, some infection, growth like polyp etc. Or entirely normal. No, betamethason is a steroid. Don't apply it. Instead apply lulifin cream twice daily. Keep area clean and dry.

It is definitely not advisable to use xylomatazoline for more than 3 to 5 days. It will definitely give excellent immediate relief for short period but it increases swelling inside nose and worsens sinusitis.

Kindly use ortrivin containing sodium chloride for nasal blockage.
Do not use otrivin containing xylometazoline or any other content.
Otrivin s (nasal saline drops) can be used again and again for nasal blockage/mild cough/respiratory sounds/snorring.
It is salt water and safe in infants even if used again and again.
Don't place drops in both nose simultaneously as this will irritate the child as they breath from nose primarily. First place 2 drops in blocked nose and after 5-10 ...more
