Dear user, the vaccine is extremely safe. Nothing to worry. But if you have a bleeding disorder or have had any allergic reaction to a vaccine taken previously, you should not take the vaccine as it will have side effects. Good luck. You can consult me for more doubts and medications regarding this by clicking on my photo and booking a consultation online, however if you found my answer helpful, please leave a thanks /good feedback as it helps me with my practice. Thank you.

Conventionally two doses of tetanus is given at 16 and 20 weeks of pregnancy respectively, but as far as current recommendation of Center for disease control goes one dose of Tdap vaccine is good enough if mother is immunized against tetanus in her childhood. Tdap usually given at about 30-32 weeks of pregnancy. Please discuss with your gynecologist in detail about both.

All women who will be pregnant (any trimester) during the flu season should be offered this vaccine. Talk to your doctor to see if this applies to you. Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap): Tdap is recommended during pregnancy, preferably between 27 and 36 weeks' gestation, to protect baby from whooping cough.
