Probably you are suffering from dysthymia or recurrent major depressive disorder or bipolar depression. Talk to your doctor about the diagnosis so that either a mood stabiliser is added or antidepressant dose is increased or therapy is added.

Hello, there are much better medications available for ocd that shows respose within a month. Also read exposure and response prevention therapy and apply it on yourself with the help of your family member or psychiatrist. You do not need to carry this problem when such promising and quick treatment is available.

You could taper some medications after being stable on these medications if they are working for you optimally after being on the same doses for about 3-6 months during which time you are hopefully able to start coping with stressful or triggering factors for your depression.
