Yes you can buy 50 and take half, but make sure you attend your periodic review with psychiatrist, as serta is not an over the counter medication, but a schedule 'h" drug, which needs constant monitoring. All the best.

Dear Sajish Kumar all people used to have negative thoughts including psychologists and psychiatrists. It is not an illness to eat tablets.!

But need to check if you have any psychological disorder to be treated, either through psychological therapies or with medicines.

But psychological interventions are possible to deal with your negative thoughts with therapies like CBT.
Good that you recognise your negative thoughts which can be corrected.
Bye take care

Dear Samin,
Please let me know why you want to taper down your medications.
Did the doctor told you to do? Or do you feel Okay that you want to stop? Or do you have side effects that are troublesome? Or did any non medical person told that you will get addicted.
Tapering is done in certain diagnosis of depression. In other diagnosis, it will not be tapered. Please discuss with your doctor about diagnosis and tapering.

Dear mam
Serta is a medicine and can be used safely during breast feeding. As far as Lopez is concerned, we need to weigh the risks and benefit. It is secreted in breast milk and can cause drowsiness in baby, so if you do need to take it try to discuss this with your psychiatrist and take the minimum possible dose. Also you can consider breastfeeding feeding just before taking the medication so that it is secreted in minimal amount in your breast milk.
Please do not stop the medicine on ...more

It is not be taken over the counter on your own, in fact ideally after consulting a psychiatrist and getting your depression and mse done. Sertraline is a very good antidepressant but can cause certain unpleasant side effects too. So consult a psychiatrist and then get treated. Good luck.

Dear lybrate-user,
If you have not got any side effect with serta 50 mg for one and half years, you are unlikely to get any in future. There is no fixed duration of treatment for panic attack. It depends on the diagnosis, improvement, side effect, other psychosocial factors. Discuss with your psychiatrist.
