Hello Mr. lybrate-user, it's really tough to be in a situation which you are going through, would you be able to specify how many manic or hypomanic episodes have you had previously. There are certainly more drugs in our kitty as psychosurgery or dbt are not as evolved yet to address bipolar depression, ect & rtms are also available non invasive options. Don't lose hope, you may definitely fight this out.

Valium and nitrosun as rightly said are benzodiazepines usually prescribed for relieving anxiety and they do impart good sleep. There are few chances of toxicity at the dosage which you are taking but they need to taken cautiously when one is having history of asthama. There are more chances of being dependent on them if taken for long period of time as they have addictive potential.
Ideally one needs to work on his anxiety by behavioural therapy and these medicines can be helpful in initial...more

You are on multiple medications as well as you have medical comorbidity. It is advisable you discuss this matter with your treating psychiatrist as they are aware of your medical background. There is risk of interaction between medicines leading to adverse side effects if all information is not taken into account. It is better to consult your Psychiatrist in person regarding this matter.

Dear Noufal,
Congratulations for trying to quit drugs repeatedly. Any substance dependence causes relapses often. So, you need to be on continuous follow up with the deaddiction centre for relapse prevention. Mostly these addictions occur along with another psychiatric disorder like mood disorder. It also needs treatment continuously and simultaneously. These withdrawal symptoms will be treated in different ways by your doctor and you will be back on tracks. All the best. Follow up for many ...more

Dear lybrate-user,
opioid drug addiction is a complex and a long-standing problem, causing a lot of suffering, like you have seen. Because of this I suggest that you seek in-person treatment from a good psychiatrist. The treatment will involve medications that will help you overcome withdrawal and reduce craving to use again. And equally important is long-term therapy that will support your recovery. Similarly, untreated adhd increases your risk of returning to drug use, even after you've te...more

Hi,
please understand that the situation you are in can be taken care of.
For medicine part, I would suggest to go for a second opinion or talk to your current doctor again for getting a better treatment.
Fearful, irrational thoughts are currently clouding your judgement and should be taken care off by a competent psychologist who will be giving you a safe environment to talk about everything and make you feel liberated and surrounded with strong coping mechanisms to deal with the cu...more
