Cancer is caused by abnormal uncontrolled proliferation of cells which may be triggered by some genetic mutations may be due to chemicals, pollution, radiation etc. Since the cause lies at genetic level the treatment has to be at that level only, but it's really very difficult to find out faulty gene which is controlling the whole process, lots of researches are going on, we may have some solutions in years to come.
